Chapter 2: Chapter:2 Lake Victoria,Tanzania
Me and my unit were deployed to Tanzania to train the local military on how to deal with insurgents and the like.One of the main ways we chose to train them was to drill into them the importance of patrolling your area of control as often as possible and keeping as friendly as possible with the local tribes and thankfully the local Bedouin tribes were some of the nicest kindhearted people you've ever met until you try to steal from them or cause them harm in which case you better put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye.
Three days into our first patrol led by our local military trainees we get flagged down by saleem one of the local village elders so we stop because him and his people have helped us out a great deal.We walk over to him and he says they are under attack.Hearing that we snap to and get kitted up ready for anything and we move in.We ask Saleem who is attacking them so he said it was a pack of Duba which I know of as the Nandi Bear so tell the men to be careful.The first creature we find feasting on one of the villagers next to which we see his old Lee Enfield rifle with two empty shells.Jenkins upon seeing the the nandi bear screams and starts shooting wildly and is immediately set upon by the creature.I immediately tell the men to light up the creature so we shred the bastard to pieces.Unfortunately Jenkins didn't make it so we suck it up and move deeper into the village while trying to find as many survivors as possible. Unfortunately the Duba are insanely fast to the point that they can grab people before we can do anything, Jackson and Murphy were shredded before I could do anything which means I am the last one in my four man squad left.So now that I'm the last one left I could just run and try to call in support but the first rule my clan taught me was to never abandon an innocent to a creature of the night or suffer in the afterlife for an eternity.
The only problem with hunting down the Duba is the fact that all I've got left is my M14 EBR 2 mags one incendiary grenade along with my bowie knife and tomahawk but I have a job to do and there are innocents in need of help.So I follow the tracks back to a nearby cave and see four Duba thankfully I'm both upwind and out of sight so I set myself up behind a nice size boulder and let them have it taking the first two right off the bat the third and fourth rush me trying to take me out.The third one takes two to the chest and swats my rifle to the ground smashing it to pieces so I draw my blades and get to work on the fourth Duba and this thing was easily twice as big as the rest of these bastards so I square up shout bring it and throw my tomahawk at it nailing it right in the neck knocking him to the ground so this big brute is trying to get to his feet , seeing that I just lose it jump straight into the air and just start stabbing until it stops twitching.After finishing off the alpha I take a minute and skin the fucker so I can bring back some sort of proof that the locals didn't kill my men.As I'm skinning the alpha I hear a groaning soud from the cave which I head towards after retrieving my tomahawk.Inside the cave I see what's left of my men and the missing villagers all I could identify was dogtags and Murphy's colt 1911 which I pocket deeper into the cave I see a very skinny man in a robe chanting next to a nursing mother nandi bear with one cub.I scream freeze asshole and all the scrawny bastard says is welcome hunter.
