Chapter 1: Ecstasy comes before Misery
4:00 AM came; Reagan woke up from his sleep, his phone vibrating with the usual alarm, confused at first on what happened. His head was spinning, he looked around, a few empty bottles of wine were scattered on the floor. His memories of last night were a bit hazy, but as soon as he realized the situation he is in, fragments of those lustful rounds came back to his mind.
It was supposed to be a simple business trip for one night at a hotel where they were supposed to meet some producers in a party that may be interested in their upcoming production. However, late into the end of the event, both men went to the Presidential Suite to talk about further tasks.
although liquor was soon added into the mix, the two had become intoxicated with the drinks that they weren't able to hold back the emotions. The CEO of the huge entertainment industry, CEO of Bliss Entertainment Industry Hiromi Takeuchi, was unbelievably 'dumped' by a female actress who goes by the name, Hana Young, whom he had supported for 3 years. With this heartbreak, he had told his assistant, Reagan Flick, the pain that he felt.
Reagan, who was a loyal and obedient assistant for 5 years, listened to the man who cried like a child who lost his way home.
"I know that I am overreacting in this simple break up, but… I did everything I could for her to love me. Wasn't I enough?" Hiromi asked drunkenly. Reagan shook his head as he takes another sip from his glass. "For me, President, you are the best of the best," he answered.
"Am I?" Hiromi glances over to Reagan who gave a smile, "Of course. President is the greatest after all. You're not like those bastards who would leave a woman heartbroken you're the one getting heartbreaks. It must mean that the right one hasn't come yet."
"Well, I'll wait then." Hiromi chuckled, "…Or maybe that 'one' isn't a woman! I might get a man for being too emotional."
Silence came instantly. Reagan stared at the hopeless and broken Hiromi for a few seconds before coming in close to him, "If no one shall love you…"
Hiromi looked into Reagan's eyes; he could feel his lips touching his'. The kiss became even deeper; Reagan slowly wandered his hands all over Hiromi. Both had started to take off each other's clothes and went into ecstasy, completely engulfed with a need of warmth from another.
Hiromi was beside him, he could hear the man's breathing closely. Seeing that he was fast asleep, Reagan carefully crept out of the bed and put on his clothes, hurriedly escaping the situation. After he had gone outside of the Boss' room, he sighed relief and headed down the corridors. His room was just below the current floor, and only 2 more hours till he assumes Hiromi would wake up.
When he arrived at his room, he turned on the AC and lied down on the comfy bed. 'Will the president know that we've…' a faint shade of red came across his face. 'What am I thinking? He might fire me later! But, I have been by his side for 5 years.' he lay on his side, his brown eyes looking at the resonating light coming from the outside corridors.
'Will he fire me?'
'Replace me?'
'Be disgusted?'
'I made a move on him.'
'He might not even look at me in the eye.'
'I added fuel to the fire. President is already dealing with an emotional problem, now I'm in the midst of it all!'
All these thoughts came into his head until he was fed with negativity. Unable to withstand it, he stands up, opens the window near him, and took a deep breath. 'It's fine. I can reason out. He won't relieve me from my job as his assistant. I just need to deny and deny.'
With this mindset, he slowly began to feel better. 'I'll do whatever it takes to cover this up.'
At his room, Hiromi wakes up from his sleep. He looks around and notices that the room was a mess. 'Did I drink too much?' He notices that he was naked under his bed sheets, "what happened…" he mumbled. 'I only remember drinking and passing out, why am I naked?'
Hiromi took his towel and went straight to the bathroom, took a shower and wore a new set of clothing. 'Reagan was with me last night. He might know what happened,' he thought. After he had changed, he took his phone by the bedside and dialed for Reagan. The first time he called, no one answered, the second – it hanged up after a few seconds, the third, the phone was out of reach.
"What is he doing playing with me?"
Hiromi packed his clothes to prepare to head back to the company; he also called for room service and clean up later on. Room service came and he instructed the staff to call for his assistant, he then ate his breakfast.
On the other side, Reagan was too frightened to answer the phone calls. 'Damn, why did I ignored and hang up on him? He might be furious!' He started to speculate how angry Hiromi was to him. Not long after, a knock on the door came. Reagan stiffened and looked at the door; he gradually went closer to the door and unlocked it, only to find a staff of the hotel standing in front of him. "Mr. Takeuchi is calling for you Mr. Flick."
"Ah, yes, I'll be right there. Thank you." he then closes the door. 'I need to go there.'
Hiromi had finished eating; the dishes were placed on the tray properly. 'Now where is my assistant.' he thought. A knock from the door was heard, Hiromi stood up and opened it, "Reagan you're-"
Warm pair of arms were wrapped around his waist; he was shocked to see Hana with a pitiful look on her face. "I finally found you, darling…" She whispered, her face dug onto his chest. Her scent made him tremble, she was back in his arms, what could he ask for?
"President, you wanted to see me-"Reagan looked at the two before he cuts his sentence off. "Ms. Young, it's a surprise to see you."
