Chapter 4: Awakening
I received a message from my ring which works like a Pear IRing, I looked at the messages which was sent which was by the government and the Awakened Association which told me to register my Connect Ring and to also register for a Awakening trial which is held tomorrow and can also allow me to get a job to either work for a organisation like the Awakened Assiocation's Fenrir Group or freelance which we do things ourselves and form parties with strangers which is more dangerous.
As I reached my house in Sector 1 and a half an hours walk away from the Wall and the Awakened Association, which is in the Northern district. It is a small and compact house with a nice design for 1 person. I lived alone as my parents passed away when I was young I lived alone and was independent. After cleaning up and settling in I went to take a shower and changed into a new set of clothes they provided for us as we left most of our belongings back in the city. I went to bed early at 9 pm to get ready for tomorrow, after setting up the alarm to 7 am tomorrow ,I quickly slip into dreamland. It was four o'clock in the morning, and the sky was still dark. Bryce woke up with a start from his slumber.
He heard a boom* from far away. It sounded like thunder or continuous bombing.
Even the house's glass windows were vibrating.
"Is that thunder? Bryce thought. It seemed really strange as the noise sounded more like it came from some heavy artillery fire.
Putting his doubts aside, Bryce walked to the window and looked at the sky as his neighbours also woke up and started a commotion.
The sky was clear and you could even see the moon in the distance, it did not look like a storm.
Bryce then received a message that this was artilery firing at the monsters and there no danger to be afraid of so Bryce cleared his mind and since it was still dark outside, he went back to sleep.
Beep*****
Bryce quickly woke up and saw that the time was 7.30 am , he washed his face. He did not even brush his teeth, he just gargled water and left.
Bryce ran all the way the the association , by the time he reached it was 7.40, 5 minutes before the reporting time. Bryce was perspiring profusely and the shirt was soaked in sweat, there was a huge crowd there already.
5 minutes later a man wearing a casual shirt with the Fenrir logo of a wolf on it with a gun hoisted around his waist on his belt followed by a group of military soldiers carrying tables and strange orbs emitting purple light.
"Welcome everyone to the third awakening trial, please move forward to any of the queues for the inspection" the man said as he headed to a nearby tree under the shade to sit and started smoking.
The 1st person when up to the crystal before it started shining, then the 2nd one went up but it did not shine. When it was my turn I was told by the man to put my hands on the orb, then it started to shine and information came surging through to my head

The Fenrir member then said "The awakening trial is over but worry not for those who have not awakened you can try again in a year as the awakening orb can only be used once on a person only after a year can it be used on the same person. Those with abilities are allowed to leave the city but we take no responsibility for you and you can recieve missions on the quest board. "
"How do we use our soul weapons?" A teenager at the back asked
"Just focus your mind and you can summon it, no more questions right? Then you are dismissed" The man said as he left immediately .
