Chapter 199: Clichés 13: Dying Inside

"How am I supposed to do this? The hell— what am I doing?" 

The question was such a big one for her as she glanced at the unconscious lump of meat she was half-carrying, half-dragging along the corridor. Being together like this was too sudden; she had no idea how to deal with it. It was like going out randomly on a rainy day with nothing but a silly paper umbrella.

In the end, all her previous bravado had abandoned her. There was no surprise in that. She was nothing but a paper tiger anyway.  Her fierceness, her acerbic tongue were merely façade to cover the truly cowardly soul within. With no one else watching, who was there to fool? 

At last, the two of them stopped in front of Henry's apartment's door. Kim then realized she forgot to secure Henry's keys that she knew he kept in the compartment of the car.
