Chapter 35: Arc 3.9

Jasiel looks at Elara who somehow got into the front lines. She of course is playing the flute trying to join the resonating. However, it doesn't work at all. The reason why it's simple Jasiel and Martell dislike her so their light magic won't resonate. He couldn't stop playing as it would be dangerous for Vulir. He truly underestimated Elara and her stupidity.

"Martell your stalker is back," Jasiel says much colder than usual. Martell glances and his eyes narrow.

"She shouldn't be here" Martell states annoyed.

"hm ignore her, for now, concentrate on playing" Jasiel states. When he takes a small break.

"Martell" Elara shouts once she realizes she can't join in the resonating. She couldn't believe it Martell and herself made the strongest music together. So why can't she resonate with him anymore?

"Martell! Look at me" Elara screams one more time once she realizes Martell didn't pay attention to her. She runs towards him ready to grab him. Jasiel turns and kicks her away without stopping his playing. He is grateful that he chose martial arts instead of boxing and guns. The Guns are shitty here and barely dent the enemy. Boxing well his hands are busy playing the flute.

"Why did you kick me?!" Elara shouts in pain clutching her stomach. Jasiel just ignores her and continues playing. Elara stands up once some of the pain went away. She glares at Jasiel who keeps getting in her way.

"Elara what are you doing! Captain Shirley is calling you back! She said if you don't get your ass back you'll be kicked out!" Shouts another student. Elera turns to the student in shock.

"Jasiel incoming!" Martell shouts to Jasiel when a monster was able to break through the front line. Heading towards Martell and Jasiel. Jasiel and Martell quickly dodged it. It headed straight to Elara. Elara in shock pushes the student towards the monster and runs. The student falls to the ground unable to escape.

"No!" Jasiel shouts in shock. The monster gets to the student. Martell and Jasiel can only watch the monster kill the student. Jasiel hated that Light magicians didn't have much power other than boosting. Vulir soon arrives and kills the Monster before he completely ate the student body.

"I'm sorry Jasiel I wasn't fast enough," Vulir says worriedly as he walked up to Jasiel. Jasiel puts a sad look and looks down.

"I couldn't help again" Jasiel states lowly while he looks at his hands. His voice is cold and unfeeling. Is he doing it cause he wants to? No, but if he has a chance to make the heroine look worse. Then he will take the opportunity. Vulir and Martell both glare at the heroine.

"It wasn't because of you Elara pushed him" Martell states pointing at Elara. Jasiel turns to Elara and glares.

"Let's continue playing, Vulir go back. We will deal with her later" Jasiel coldly orders. As he still glared at Elara. Elara fell from shock and fear from Jasiel glare.

The battle went on for 2 more hours

Once the battle ended everyone cheered but Jasiel. He turns around and immediately heads to Elara's position. She was back where she was supposed to be.

"Magician Jasiel" Captain Shirley greets. Jasiel gives a nod but his eyes still on Elara. He walks up to her and Elara is frozen in place. Jasiel raises his hand and slaps her. Elara falls to the ground in shock. Jasiel is full of glee hitting the heroine.

"How dare you push someone towards a monster to save yourself!" Jasiel shouts out in anger trying to hide the satisfaction of slapping the heroine. Elara grabs her cheek in pain. Everyone around gasps in shock.

"I...I...I was scared! I didn't want to die" Elara cries in shock. Trying her best to act pitiful. People around pitied her a bit and could understand why she did it.

"If you didn't want to fight with your life. Why the hell did you go to the front lines! You were supposed to be here and nowhere near the frontlines. You however went and the person calling you back who wasn't supposed to be there either. Was killed because you couldn't follow orders! He did not deserve the fate he got! Now we have to send him back and bury him with only half his body left!" Jasiel screams at Elara. Anyone who sympathized with Elara soon disappeared.

"Jasiel" Vulir softly calls out. Jasiel didn't answer and still looked at Elara.

"Magician Jasiel, don't worry I will punish her" Captain Shirley states. Jasiel looks at her and couldn't help but feel angry. Before Jasiel burst out in anger.

"She should be jailed! How can anyone feel comfortable being beside her in battle? When she would betray her teammates in a heartbeat" Martell intervenes this time in anger. Everyone around couldn't help but agree.

"Your majesty" Captain Shirley greets with a bow.

"Arrest her this is an order not as a fellow soldier but as your Prince. Charges will be murder, abandoning their post, ignoring their superior" Martell orders. Two soldiers grab Elara who was still collapsed on the ground.

"I wasn't in the right mind! Martell, don't let them take me away" Elara shouts trying to reach out to Martell. Reid stands in front of Martell to block Elara. Even when he was shocked to find out Martell was the prince. Now he understood why Jasiel called him princey.

"Jasiel let's go to our tent" Vulir softly says. Jasiel looks at Vulir and nods. Vulir grabs his hand and leads him back to their tent. Captain Shirley only watches and frowns. She will get severe repercussions because of this. Elara pushed someone to death in front of the Prince and the Duke's son. There is no way she wouldn't be partially blamed for this.

"Martell, don't you love me?" Elara shouts from afar. Reid couldn't help but glare at Elara when she said that.

"No" Martell answers walking away. Reid quickly follows.
