Chapter 141: Irrational Games
"The crowd is going away, where are Athenaeum's men in the AFA?"
"In the fighting arena, her men still around there but we have sent Overlord the conformation about the Impaler's current location."

Akagi knew he can not hold Tereko much longer from discovering his schemes, hence he stalls as he can.

Right after entering AFA's empty gladiatorial arena, Akagi wanted to verify some facts but Tereko wasn't willing to, after finding out that he's stalling, she immediately points AM-gun at him in a very pissed off mood.

Before Akagi could explain, Tereko coldly shot his shoulder, putting him down,

Now days Mutants are not the stronger supreme beings they once considered, the Brightlight-based weapons is very effective and sometimes annoying against Mutants and those bullet stings like a piercing thunder gashed into Akagi's shoulder.
"I gave you a chance and you betrayed me like you did to the Helecters back then."
Akagi's eyes sharpen, glaring Tereko, resentfully. However right before Tereko could shot at him, a sniper fire, take out her right arm.
"Araghh, what was that!?"
She screamed, blood sprayed forward as her lower arm has cut off, groaning in agony.
"Finally found you bitch!"
"Ah?"
"There is no one here to save your ass."
At Tereko's worst time, Kamano and his partner, the Red-cross's mercenary which Tereko held hostage in a safe house, also tortured and killed his younger brother and now they found Tereko in here, to seek vengeance.
"One shot you are done for; this is for my brother that you killed."
Apparently Kamano and the partner escaped from the safe house and possess themselves with the same Brightlight-based weapon that Tereko have and that makes her vulnerable.
"That, how I cannot move, can't use my Hikaru, I'm done for."
Tereko dreadfully murmured, watching helplessly, her adversary taking the shot.
"I will not let that happen!"
"What Shinsuke!?"
At the most unexpected moment, Akagi stepped forward, selflessly shield Tereko's wounded body, and gets shot in the ribs, collapse on the ground.
For Akagi's selfless act, surprised Tereko extremely, specially after she had heard about Akagi Shinsuke, been an egocentric paragon.
"Why, why Shinsuke? Why did you do such a thing? Why did you protect me?"
Tereko has many questions for Akagi while reluctant to help him she inquired him about his intentions.
While lying on the ground, injured Akagi revealed his real intentions for saving Tereko in passionate heart-warming tone,
"Because, you hold a special place in my heart, Tereko!"

"I couldn't have told you sooner but I have to assure myself."
"Assure of what?"
"That I truly in love with you!"
"What!? You, in — in love with me?"
"I know, it may shock to you but I truly love you, for all those years we spent together in Code Phoenix, causing me to develop feelings for you, even you are my enemy I still don't want to lose you."
"You, love me?"
Tereko was shocked beyond imagination, it was first time that someone has confess their love to her, reminisce at the past since she is already crushing on Akagi's former self as Hatteki it significantly clouds her judgement either she makes him as the enemy.
"Alright you bastard you die first!"
While Tereko hesitant to do the deed, angry revenge-filled Kamano fire a rocket launcher at Akagi, ensured that will kill the man alongside his prime target.

Nevertheless Tereko doesn't let Akagi die, with her blue Hikaru power which is Time Deceleration, with time ticking slower like seconds into minute, she first move Akagi and herself out of the fire range then pulled her wounded body close to Kamano then impulsively, slice him and his partner's throat by her Noryoku.
"No. No. Please, Ahhh"
"Ghhhaahh"
After time went back to normal, Akagi saw Kamano, chocked with his blood, groaning through the sliced off throat like his other partner.
"What will I do now? I don't understand myself anymore."
Though Tereko instinctively killed Red-cross mercenaries, she has no idea about what will do now.
"Tereko,"
"Huh!"
"You just couldn't, couldn't help yourself to save me. Because deep down inside you feel the same way I do."
"Ahh I..."
Cold, merciless Tereko went extremely blushful, shy, lovey-dovey by Akagi's way of speaking.
"What's the matter? So, seem like you don't like me in that case I--"
"No, it's not like that! I mean I do... like you..."
"Alright then I don't like I will go any longer."
"Wait. You don't have the strength to continue, I called the medical unit"
Before Akagi could try stand up on his own, Tereko immediately went back, helping him out calling the medic to get him out of the arena.
After a little push, it didn't not take much time for Tereko to confess to Akagi and he seems like truly meant what he said but his true colour begins to flow when he was taken to the Brittonian military medic.
"Humph, 'Feelings for you' stupid bitch."
A very sinister grin displayed at Akagi's face when he was with the medical crew, pretend to be injured, while reversing his wicked schemes.
"It went just according to my plan, it was rather easy, making her mine to use, all I have to do to look at her encrypted profile, it all there, helping me to exploits her more intimately, hehe he."
It has clear, the whole event was part of Akagi's plan, after regaining the memory, Akagi's unscrupulous planning and manipulation also back.
He deliberately plan the whole thing to get Tereko on his side, for starters, he hacked Tereko's profile and exploits it, finding what she lacked, a romantic companion, at that moment Akagi were not the favourite person, thus he released Red-cross men from the safe house, snapping his neck the associate who was guarding them, after release he manipulate them to attack Tereko in the AFA, giving them Brightlight weapons purposely.
Once they attack Tereko in the arena, Akagi intentionally injured himself, giving her sympathy for his actions let her kill both Red-cross Mercenaries which Akagi use as a mere pawn and thinks or felt nothing other than a lifeless toy.
'I be your lover as long as it benefits me, for now I will use you then throw you like piece of shit, you fucking bitch.'
For Akagi's genius plans, skilful manipulation Tereko forced made her choice, inadvertently joins Akagi, despite knowing his partner is Redtron. Therefore, she can't capture Antheia, literally abandoned her mission which was from the start. Akagi swiftly plays the part of loving her, masterfully manipulating her in order to get Tereko on his side, knowing he cannot defeat her in fair fight, he rather manipulate her to his advantage.
