Chapter 2: Blood!
August, 2015
Shaun is in school now, teachers have gathered all the students to make an announcement. While everyone is waiting, Shaun can't help but feel a little nervous about last nights events. Flash of images go through his mind, and always one picture is stuck at the end, his own face with a big grin. "Good morning students, I have asked you all to gather because I have a very sad and shocking news", it was the principal who spoke and this brought back Shaun from his thoughts. "I regret to tell this but last night one of our student was found murdered, the student's name was Sid Ohera. It was confirmed that this was a robbery gone wrong and the culprit was caught emptying the victim's pockets. So rest assured and now let us have 2 minutes of silence for Sid". As Shaun bowed his head down for silence he smiled thinking how lucky he was.
The classes continued as usual but Shaun felt different, he saw things more vividly, paid more attention to details and was always on guard. He thought this might be the effect of last night's events. "Hey asshole! You! Look here bitch! ", it was Sid's friends, Harry and Josh. Another set of delinquents who ran the show with Sid. "We know you did something! ", barked Harry. Beads of sweat trickled down Shaun's forehead.
_What does he mean by that? Do they suspect me?_
"You think that just because Sid isn't here anymore you can keep your money!? Hand it over bitch". Shaun let out a sigh of relief, and handed over the money. They laughed and went ahead, but little did they know that a plan was forming in Shaun's head.
On reaching home, he went to his room and did a Google Search for hunting knives. "~Carbon-titanium alloy, 7-inch blade, yes this sounds good~" , Shaun mumbled under his breath. After ordering the blade, he went downstairs to choose a place. Shaun had read a lot of thriller novels and knew exactly how to proceed in these situations. First pick a spot, secluded, you should be familiar with the terrain and most importantly no one should go there under normal circumstances. Like mentioned before, Shaun lived in a small town, if you walk a little towards west, you come across a series of old buildings which appear to be warehouses but not in use anymore. "Perfect! Only thing to do now is to figure out how to get them here. "
Two days later
Shaun didn't notice how the day passed by, he was deeply concerned about the plan. Hunting knife had arrived and he was ready, only thing to do now is to wait. "~Patience, Patience~", whispered a voice in Shaun's head.
Its 9pm, everything is ready. Shaun sneaks out of the house, as he was about to exit the gate, "Shaun, dear! Where are you going at this hour? ", it was his mum. "Just for a jog ma, I'll come back soon, don't worry ". "Fine, but don't stay out too late". That was close thought Shaun as he started sprinting towards the school. Harry, Josh and Sid had a place behind the school where they used to smoke weed and drink, he knew that he'll find them there tonight, drowning their sorrows. Shaun crouched down as he got close to the school, he had worn mostly black, so he was well hidden in the shadows.
"Whyyy!! ~ Why Sid!? ", it was Harry shouting, he was clearly stoned. Shaun followed the voice and got closer to where they were. 'Bingo' thought Shaun, as he directly looked at Josh and Harry smoking. Shaun picked up a stone and threw it at Harry making sure they saw him, but not his face. "You motherfucker! Who the fuck are you!? ", Shaun started running towards the warehouse, he kept his speed just enough to stay a few meters away from them but not too far, afraid they might stop following. Harry and Josh were getting pissed, as they thought this stranger was toying with them.
Finally they are at the warehouse, Shaun runs in and stops in the middle of the room. Harry and Josh follow and stop in front of him, "You little shit, made us run all the way here, you gonna pay!". Josh didn't wait till Harry finished talking, he rushed in towards Shaun, aiming a right cross. Shaun's reflexes kicked in, he ducked just before the cross connected, pulling his knife out, he thrust it right into Josh's chin.
The blade went right into Josh's mouth, Shaun pulled out the knife and jumped back a few steps. Josh screamed in pain, blood everywhere. Harry was frozen, he couldn't believe what happened, "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT! ", shouted Harry after what felt like an eternity to him. Shaun pulled back his hoodie and looked Harry in the eye, he had an emotionless face. Harry, seeing who the attacker was, realised what happened, "You were the one who killed Sid! ". Shaun smiled at first, then started laughing, it was his first hearty laugh in a while. Seeing this is an opening, Harry rushed towards Shaun, to kick him square in the chest, Shaun sidestepped and slashed his knife at Harry's throat with all his strength.
*THUD*
Harry's head rolled down, and his body fell too. Shaun had cut his head clean off, he couldn't believe the power that was bubbling up in him. He looks at Josh, who is terrified and bleeding. He tries to run away, but Shaun throws his knife at his leg. He tumbles and falls.
Shaun slowly walks towards Josh kneels near him, pulls out his knife and looks at Josh.
"P-Please le-let me g-go", stammers Josh. Looking at this, Shaun gets his devilish grin, "This is it! The thrill!! " he thought, and in a swift movement stuck his knife into Josh's face.
He then takes out what looks like a candies and places them in each of their mouths. "Have a sweet dream bitches", he said as he walked away.
