Chapter 3: Somalian onslaught

Bloodviper's log 7 days at sea: "We had only been travelling for 7 days but we had encountered at least a dozen Somalian ships luckily they were only lightly armed so far, however, we have only sailed a quarter of the journey through the Somalian territory. The first day we entered this area we were attacked about an hour in by 3 ships, however, they were only lightly armed ships with a small mast about 5 meters high and a sail across about 6 meters long it had what looked like a small harpoon Cannon at the front of the ship and a motor engine at the stern the ships quickly caught up with us and tried to fire their harpoons at us I can only assume to get them caught on the ship so we couldn't get away. The Somalians boarded the ship finally they were badly trained and easy to repel soon we sent them back down into their ships and away from us, we fired some of our Cannon at them as they retreated the smoke blocked our view of them for long enough that we could no longer see them. The next day we were swarmed by 5 ships however they were relatively small so were repelled with a few Cannon volleys. After a quick nap though it became another day however this time the Somalians attacked with a big fleet comprised of 2 massive tanker ships and 10 small craft which were speeding towards us the merchant ship was able to avoid the ships for a bit however if they weren't dealt with they would become a problem. The first 4 small craft were sunk rapidly with some broadsides from the 34 gun ship however soon the tanker ships caught up and trapped us between the two hulking ships. The rest of the small craft now were gaining on our ship and would board the ship soon. We had only two options to surrender peacefully or die. We chose to surrender over dying as it was more convenient since the merchants wanted to live and I had to finish my quest to find the legendary ship HMS Hood. The Somalian pirates tied us up and put us in the brig when we arrived I noticed a familiar face, it was Mr Gloybraith the geography master mind who was also tied up inside the brig. I asked him how he got here and he simply replied "I wanted to learn more about the geographical area of Africa and i lost my passport so the easiest way to get to Africa was to get enslaved by the Somalians. I then explained to him that he was most mistaken as he could have just got a new passport and he then fell into a coma due to his depression from his incompetence.
