Chapter 15: The Virgin and the Unicorn
"Oi Fortune-kun", In amidst of our journey, Unice said a word.

This is a day where we can venture out again outside the Royal City, So we departed at dawn. Last time with Reyna as she insist to see my real form I invited her to 'our' room instead. Of course, she met Unice and freaked out but after I said she's 'that' horse who pull our carriage she freaked out even more. You think she'll calm after that?.
But explaining is such a drag so I only told Unice to transform instead. This time, Reyna almost lost her conciousness, she saw 'two' mythical creatures in a single day thus her heart thriumped in excitement. Though, I still doubt if I was a 'creature'. Oh well lets return.
After Unice modeling, its my turn. No I mean, I disarmed my equipment. In reality, they're already attached to my wooden body so I just detached them just like that, afterall my only equipment was a only a full face Helmet, a single handed Katana, leg and arm shin-guard and a fingerless gloves.
For finger-less gloves, it was all normal for people of this world to have different kind of equipments. They, after seing my wooden-like hand was astonished and curious at first but moved on later as they saw it as another form of 'gauntlet'. Of course this wasnt just wooden-like but was my real arm, well thats life..
Now that I unequipped them all, Reyna covered her mouth, so does Unice. What? you think I was kind of p*rnstar? why are you drooling?! especially you Unice! Caressing my body so boldly! Stop that will you?! and Im still wearing a shirt so Im not a p*rnstar!.
At the same time, Reyna swallowed her saliva twice and commented like I was her newly hired model.
"Brown, rough, thick and strong" She said. Hah!? Will you repeat that?!
Alright I'll explain my real body image as this two isnt that reliable and if worst, I'll really become a p*rnstar.
Of course, as a Tree myself, I have a very deep brown colored skin, a color of my main body's trunk. as for rough and thick, rough is the only I approved, my body is a puppet made and none such an item of a carpenter here, thats why my wooden body isnt that perfect but only my hands, legs and face form are proportioned. As for thick, my wooden physique isnt thick at all. I made it to become a body like of a 17 to 20 year old human. As for all of my joint. I made its shape that looks like of a drop of water. A drop shape, for me to close and open it. Reason? If I felt dry, all I have is to dip my hand to a water and my root inside my body will sip it. Convenient right? I also made it looks like a human tissue inside my bawdeh.
Now that I think about it, my core or should I say, my original magic property inside me took its physical shape, I checked it and saw a small object with the size of watermelon seed. I Set aside that thing for now.
Reyna in the end lose her conciousness with the face of peace and blissfulness. She get back to her lonely princess room again after she gained her conciousness and as I return my costume back too. She even inviting us at her mansion— her school but we refused, afterall we will departing at dawn tomorrow. By the way, we decided to slowly venture outside, she really insists to sightseing, after locking herself for decades —is what she said and I didnt believe—, she wanted to slow our phase for the mean time, Its not that wasn't a bad Idea at all, as I too want to enjoy the view, I was worried about Zyra though, but because of this little girl's eye like saying "Please?", I, with no choice and couldn't retort but nod.

And just so like that.. Lets go back to the present then.
After hearing what she said, I ask in return.
"hm?", Im not good at conversation myself, and that is all I know, so I didnt even said a single thing but to ask. One more thing, it was her decision for us to be like this. Like this whose I, was at her back with only but a saddle. Whose I, didn't even have some guts to say 'no' to her decision from that time.
Of course, she knew about mine and Zyra's relationship. About the other childrens. About me being a puppet. And my main body resides near my People, the forgottern tribe of Herra and the decendant of the first Hero.
Maybe because of those that she was feeling jelly?
"I was jealous" U-huh. Is what she said. Did I hit the mark right?.
"I was envy at them, your so called kids, not just them but also to Reyna." She said emotionally while still running. I grip the handle of saddle I selfmade, by copying the saddle like that of a 'Mechanical Bull' game from 'that 'world. Then I lean at my back and look at the starry night sky whilst listening to her feelings.
I—hihihing..
She slowed down.
"I was once an unkind, selfish and all of the negative feelings you could possibly see to every mortals" And there she goes, started her story. Im not complaining or what, but theres something deep inside me who doesnt want to hear her story.
{A/N: what she means about the 'mortal' heres are those who have limited lifespan or less than hundred of years to live except animals}
"You see, our species was 'said to be' so kind and mighty creature, love and to be loved by mortals and so forth. But we, 'unicorns' isn't like that. We, hate mortals. We only love virgins, meaning a 'Girl', 'Woman', 'Lady'. As long as she's a <Virgin>."
"Why you say? They have the so called, 'clean heart'. Is what Unicorn calls them. Is what they believe. Is what 'I' believed." She explained. and then started to run, but our speed is only at 20km/h at most.
'Virgin' huh. I thought they're just some kind of myth but even their background history in this world is also the same. They attracted to a virgin but none truly know why.
"In our history, we unicorns love virgins because of their 'purest heart' they say. Not, just because of other reason but. They believe it. Yes, unicorns believe it themselves to only love the virgins. They believe because of tradition? or their mind are clouded? or because some sort of hypnotism? Who knows, no one knows.
"And that is when 'I' enter the frey. I concluded, just because... Unicorns suck out 'their mana', to be precise, suck out the purity of their mana until they clean it dry. Then those 'said to be virgin' will then search for pleasure, If not, they will die for various reasons like getting sick, or something because they already give 'cursed'. Yes, we Unicorns return the favor after sucking out their mana, exchanging it and thus the effect kicked in and lasts for a month upto 5 months. Because, not many mortal virgins are lucky enough to find unicorns, mortals doesnt know them until this point. So does unicorns. And only I alone."
"As for that unicorn who suck out 'pure mana'. His lifespan will added of how strong that 'pure mana' is."
"As for me. I myself prove it. Thrice. I done it thrice and all 3 of them die in the end."
"Ignorance is a bliss indeed, after that, I went from place to place where no other unicorn can ever find me. I dont have any guts to tell them what I learned, much less to humans."
"Thats why I was an unkind unicorn, and selfish because I can't said it to anyone."
{A/N: this time, she change it to human, to emphasize her fear to said that knowledge to them}
"I even learn how to control my mana flow and not to suck out any pure mana near me. Without my own permission, I—." Before she even finish her story I retorted. I can't restrained myself and have to said this.
"You're unkind and selfish, yes. But the thing you said about other negative personality of every mortal? thats too much."
"You did those because of 'defense mechanism', to not be blamed in the end. Selfish? No, you're afraid. Afraid that they wont believe you and throw you away or banish, or 'Abandon' you. Same thing for humans. you're afraid to tell them too with the same reason. And to hurt them, but you love them. All of the creature has their own weaknessess and strengths. Its just that, your weakness is because you're afraid. Afraid to give love because they'll abandon you In the end. Not because you suck their mana."
"Worry not, now that I'm here.. I'll provide you purer mana than those virgins. Is that why you're atttacted to me, right?"
Is what I say. Wow, I said it all. Like I was kind of a preacher or in a counceling.
"....Is what I wanted to tell you, that's why I tell those story—."
*Cough*
*Poof*
After the cough, she transformed to human and drop to her knees while touching the ground with her two hands. I on the other hand thrown down in front of her.
What's on the ground was her blood. She cough out her own blood—
