Chapter 17: Hero and Her Party Member: A Knight
I am Xyrus Von Mcbeth, though I have my surname right now, I was but a commoner.
I mean. a declining noble lineage will later become a commoner right? So I was ready. That was norm in our society. But not for a noble themselves who was at the receiving end.
According to the pasts events, once a noble become a 'commoner', that family is only have two choice to make. First is to live like a commoner and that surname will strip off and the Second is for all of that family to mass suicide.
That is how they/we honored our position as a noble. And because I was the only child of our family, it was I who should have to save our family from this happenings.
We as a noble, pledged not to marry anyone as long as our nobility aren't stable, so as for me, a Girl, and a Lady, there's no room for such thing as Love. I'll repay my family's kindness and won't let this family declined, my Father say so to me. Thats why, they named me Xyrus, a fitting name for a Man. They knew it all happen someday.
Then, when I entered 10 years old as If destiny smiled upon us, one of the Swordsaint came for me and offer me to become his Apprentice.
He's name was Souen, for one of the 8 Swords to knock on your door and made you his Apprentice, who wouldn't be happy?!
Like that, he'll become my Master until the present time. He even judged that I someday can become a Swordsaint, I was happy ofcourse, Me? a Swordsaint? If it isn't the Swordsaint himself said that words to me, I'll take that as a joke but my master is very serious, thats why I trained hundred times harder than the last time until I entered Royal Academy. Feeling invincible, I request to duel the said to be a Hero who also enrolled the same year as me.
But then, like a reality itself turned shape of a hand, it slap me really hard. Just like a frog in a well who doesnt know how vast the world is. I was defeated with only 5 bouts. Really? A Swordsaint? Gimme a break.
"When it comes to Killing, you're the best. You cannot improve with just normal training"
Is what my Master said after he learned I was defeated.
So I try even harder, for the whole years I trained very hard and battle to death against that Hero but then again I was some kind of a joke. That time, I was defeated with only 2 bouts. 2 bouts. As if our ability widened twice or amlost 3 times.
My master who couldn't believe organize a match against that Hero.
And with that same year. A Swordsaint was defeated by the Student, an unripe Hero on top of that.
A master and apprentice was defeated.
I was depressed and so others. But then, that news didn't spread outside and later only become a legend and no one knows who's behind the scene.
Even the Swords who watched that time couldnt believe what they saw and soffocated.
And now, years passed since then and I for the record picked by the King and 8 Swords to become Hero's companion. This time I changed my weapon to Double-Handed Sword, my weapon is a Pseudo Holy Weapon called Hope and with a small round shield. I received a title Knight.
And for today, we Venture outside the Royal Academy for the first time and our mission is to come at the border of Dark Territory-

2 days.. Its been two days since then. And still thinking why I said those cringey words but. Like a mosquito in my ears, it didnt stop buzzing.
"Ne ne' Fortune-kun-" as I hear a voice through thought communication. It was Unice. Yup, she didn't die at that time. As far as I concerned she really did die but return to life seconds later as she spout nonesense like she saw white orbs and when about to touch it, a golden light envelop her body and just like that she revived. Okay I'll return the word 'nonesense' as that is also happened to me like eons? What's more, she saw light!? Is she about to reincarnate? And so what will happen to me if she really did-?? I asks myself, Like someone is stitching my very soul as I remember if those is going to happen. But then again, why does it looks like I regreted it all?
On me is a Horse looking creature with silver metal color with a touch of gold on some of its hair, talking nonestop. she was Unice who receive my seed or so she called proof of love.
She didnt even said a word after asking her if she heard my word, especially after her body was drop beside me.
Now about the seed, her originally silver metal hair surprisingly have some golden color mixed. All I know is that, as a Tree I have dark brown color and the only golden color on me is my magic property. And so what did affect her to have a color like that? Isnt that supposed to be Brown? Why Gold?! But another surprising was her human form.
She's supposed to be a child, but she looks like a mature teenager now. Seriously!? is what I wanted say.

"Oi Fortune-kun, are you listening?" Is what I heard. eh? Am I that too absorb to my thoughts that I didnt hear what she said?
"What is it?" And now I replied.
"Haaa.. I said a village, I saw it, and its not that big for a Village" she explained.
"Alright, lets drop by there. Afterall, you need to eat and I can't always cook for you, you know." I exclaimed. At first she eat raws of beast meat, but when I cook it for the first time using otherworldee knowledge, she's now always looking forward to those and eat every dishes I serve clean. Like a Glutton, she eat even bones and none remains.
"Too bad, I wanted to eat yours again"
"O.o?" but then I look at her after she said those words
"Your cook I mean. Hahaha" she corrected. Really, this girl. But then-
