Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Silent
The two men walked to the corner Prue, Brian, and Marcus were sitting in. The three of them sighed with irritation. The two boys seemed like they were only there for Prue. Just like the guys on the roof, they were only interested in her looks. This really ticks off the three of them. Prue is used to these types of people and know how to get rid of them. Brian is always protecting Prue from guys like this, he almost enjoys it. With every step they took, the three of them tightened their grip in irritation.
"Hey~ Why don't you come with us and ditch these two losers?" One boy stated.
Prue rolled her eyes and looked away. Marcus and Brian glared at the two boys with rage.
"No thank you." She said in a cold and demanding voice.
Both boy's smiles went away and they glared. One of them put on an evil like smile and began to reach for Prue as she looked away.
"That wasn't a request!" The boy said as he reached out.
Suddenly Marcus grabbed his arm and flipped into over knocking him into the boy next to him. Prue, along with everyone else inside the cafe, looked up in shock. Her jaw dropped when she saw Marcus glaring down at the two boys. The room was silent and all you could hear was the sound of the cool breeze blowing outside. The two boys were unconscious and Marcus was frozen. Brian was just as surprised as anyone else. A waiter slowly walked over to their table. Bending over, he picked up the two boys and took them out of the cafe. Marcus then sat back down and everything was silent. Prue and Brian looked at each other in surprise and had small smiles spreading across their face. Neither of them knew how Marcus did that, but they thought it was awesome. Marcus had a look of disgust on his face as he looked down. Prue's heart began to race as she realized that he did that for her. The waiter who carried the two thugs out began to walk back over to their table. All of them looked up as the rest of the cafe was silent.
"May I take your order?" He asked with a smile.
Prue was at a loss of words, as was Marcus so Brian spoke up.
"We'll have three milk teas please," Brian said smiling back to the waiter.
The waiter looked surprisingly calm as if nothing happened. Prue and Marcus were silent, but they were both thinking about the same people, each other. Marcus felt as if he was the one who was supposed to protect her. He didn't know why his body moved without his consent. Prue felt the same way as both their hearts sped up every second. This feeling was unusual to both of them, but it felt great. Brina knew exactly what was going on. He didn't seem to have a problem with Marcus, but he suddenly feels like the father type and isn't ready to let her go just yet. The waiter came back after five minutes and set their tea on the table. All three of them snapped out of their dazes as the cups clicked on the hard table. All of them carelessly stared at their glasses as the room filled with an awkward silence.
'Do I have to do everything?!' Brina thought as he rolled his eyes in irritation.
Brina reached to his cup and took a drink. Marcus and Prue followed and took sips of their tea. The whole cafe was silent, people began to leave. Everything was, silent.
