Chapter 2: the fateful night

"I forced you to take me to derick's party.. you said you had to study but I convinced you to take me on your lambho.. to his birthday and then we got drunk in the party when we were coming back I asked you to speed up.. and then.. I asked you for a quick kiss and you said no.. so I kept pesturing and we started arguing and then you hit a tree.. and then I woke up after sometime to find my hand in immense pain and you were lying down and blood flowing down from your head.. I was so scared..I thought I lost you" she rushed over to him and hugged him and then leaned in for a kiss- when he restrained her "I'm sorry.. I feel like I barely know you.." he said soflty. Claudia felt her whole world crumbling after all this time she finally got the boy she loved just for it to end so soon, she tried to hide her tears.. and said "yes I understand.. its fine.. but could you give me a chance.. you fell in love with me once.. I believe you will again if you truly loved me.." she caressed his face and looked into his deep green eyes.. it felt as if she was being pulled into a cave of thousand emerald stones.. as she kept looking her facial expression changed to an even graver one.. as she didn't see the spark he had in his eyes anymore.. she started to question if she would ever get him back "no matter what.. you will be the only person I will ever want in this world" she said sadly. "its not your fault.. the accident was not your fault.. I drove the car.. and I'll let you do the things you want to.. if that would make me get my memories back a little atleast.. but I dont wanna continue being in a relationship. oh and you mentioned that I had a lambho.. so why did my dad say that I needed a scholarship?" Justin asked, "you wanted to do something on your own as all this time you depended on your parents.. that made your dad really happy and proud of you.. " Claudia responded. Justin thanked her and left the room and had gone back to his room where his mom was waiting with a glass of apple juice for him.. "you used to like it.. so I made it for you" she said. Justin accepted it.. and suddenly the flash of the girl with the golden brown hair came to him again, she was wearing a butterfly necklace.. "Do I know someone with golden hair and blue eyes" Justin asked his mom. "Oh you mean Derena winchester?, do you remember her? she's such a darling, she had a bit of a crush on you back in the day..she's your classmate, why do you ask.. are you getting your memories back?" his mom asked excitedly ,"no its nothing" Justin replied.. Derena that name.. it felt so familiar.. hearing her name calmed every cell in his body.. who is she.. why does she make me feel this way he thought to himself. the night fell and Justin's dad had gone home to Strelish the street where they recided, to look after Justin's sister Crissella. Justin's mom had fallen asleep, Justin had just taken a small nap and woke up feeling hungry.. he was about to get down to look for bread when he heard footsteps and laughter, the noise started to get louder and louder until he could hear well.. he got onto his wheelchair and went outside "hahaha stop it darling, you're so funny.. but shh I dont wanna wake up that useless daughter of ours" a high pitched voice said. Justin saw a woman in red with high heels and her hair pulled back and a man with a sweatshirt on, "oh if it isnt the boy who took pity on our useless daughter.. the boyfriend is here darling" said the woman. "you must be Claudia's parents im sorry i just came out to get some air" Justin said and went back in.. Justin wondered why they weren't upset about their daughter's accident are they that much of a narcissist. He made up his mind to ask her the next morning. The next morning Justin had asked Claudia about her parents.. the room fell into a silence.. then she started "ever since my brother left town with his girlfriend.. my parents feel like he's abandoned them.. Im not their real daughter I was found on their doorstep one snowy night.. im grateful that they took me in.. they were completely different when my older brother was there.. they were heartbroken and felt that it was my fault that he left town. All I have of my real mother is this necklace." -"wait this necklace I saw this on derena in my flashes" Justin blurted, "what derena? I've had this since I was a child and what flashes .. is everything alright Justin?" Claudia asked perplexed. "its nothing im sorry.. im gonna go rest.. im sorry about your parents.." Justin went back to his room wondering why he saw that necklace on Derena. he spent two weeks in the hospital and then he was discharged. He was told that he could go back to his school in another week or so.
