Chapter 7: The matchmaker
"Ok, it's time for you to get dress". Lindy is being bossy now.
"What!!!".
"I mean it Azalea, get your ass to your drawer, pull out some clothes and get dress". Lindy becomes overly demanding.
"And who are you to order me inside my own room?". Azalea made an angry tone though she's not really angry, she just want to annoy her bestie.
"Well I am your bestfriend Lindy Laurent and if you don't do what I ask you to do". She paused for a while and gave Carlton a very seductive smile. "I swear to God I will rip your brother's clothes here and I will fuck him in front of you". Then she smiled at her slyly.
Azalea got shocked for a moment then knitted her brows then stand up in a snap. Lindy always do stupid stuff just for her to do her bidding. She even threatened her like making out with her little brother in front of her everytime which annoys her the most. Her brother's and bestie's lewd act gives her nightmare for days and now she's planning to do it again.
Azalea turned and tried to run to her closet but her brother stopped her. She was surprised.
"Carlton, whats wrong?". She asked with confusion.
"Don't move".
"Why?". She asked again.
"I want to see it".
"See what?". Her forehead wrinkled. She doesn't know what's wrong with him and why he's acting weird all of a sudden.
"I want to see... how is she going to rip my clothes apart". And those devilish grin appeared in his brother's face.
Azalea's eyes grew big. "What the hell!". She striked her brother's upper arm. She was very flustered. 'This two is driving me crazy'. She thought angrily.
Carlton laugh so hard while Lindy is trying to suppress hers. They know Azalea is very mad at them right now. They just don't want to add more fuel into the fire. They thought it's very hard to convince her to attend to any type of gatherings but they need to force her out this time because this is the perfect moment to introduce her to someone.
Lindy wants Azalea to meet her favorite cousin Ken.
Ken Mullen is Lindy's cousin from her mother's side. His involve in the world of sports and so does his business. He is the type of man who would fall for heart and brain before beauty. He always tell her that the outer beauty can easily be create by science nowadays but the true beauty of the heart and the brain is very hard to obtain.
Ken can be considered as a celebrity because of his status. With all of the sports he's joining, charity events, commercials and modeling stints that he is doing, he became a household name. Beside the fact that he is also came from an old rich family that also involve in politics and entertainment. Her cousin is really a true catch for her.
Today she will going to play the role of a match maker.
For days, she keeps on telling all the positive side of Azalea to her cousin. Trying to convince him that she is a total catch for him. Though she is a well preserve woman, there is an unbelievable beauty behind her facade. And because Lindy is selling her bestfriend like a hot potato, one day Ken decided to meet her and because their family is going to the same event this became a perfect venue for this two single hearts to meet each other.
But of course she needs to consider one big factor.
The Son's little spoiled diva princess named Camilla. It's her birthday celebration after all and she doesn't like to be over shadow by anyone else.
She needs to do this as quietly as possible.
"Ok let's go..." Azalea breaks the silence in her room.
"What the heck!!!..." the couple uttered in chorus.
They were astound when Azalea came out from her bathroom.
"What in the world are you wearing?!!!!" Lindy almost faint when she see's her.
They are suppose to go in a very formal and luxurious event held in the most prestigious place on the planet and here she is wearing an overall black loose dress that looks like a curtain and to top it all she is wearing a very weird headdress.
Carlton burst in to a loud and hard laugh, he is almost crying and he can't stop.
His weird big sister is becoming weirder. But he loves her innocent wittiness.
Azalea is the only person who can make him laugh like crazy. Maybe this is why he loves her so much. Her innocence is a pure indulgence to him and Lindy.
"Oh, I'm glad I made someone's day today." She is getting irritated with her brother's reaction.
"I'm sorry big sis... its just that... I love you so much and i can't..." then burst into another crazy laugh.
"Ha.... Ha... Ha..." She's making a dead laugh then rolled her eyes. "You are so annoying."
She turned around and start to march back into her closet when Lindy grab her arm.
"I brought some clothes." then she smiled sweetly.
"Only my clothes, or I'm not going." She cross her arms to her chest.
'Shoot!...' Lindy curse herself. 'Does she have any formal clothes or gown?. From what I remember her styles are in between a hobo or bohemian' she is calculating the clothes in Azalea's closet.
" Just wear the white one." Carlton suggested.
Lindy's eyes sparkle she knows what dress her boyfriend is talking about. She quickly went to Azalea's closet and pull a pure white dress.
The dress was her gift to her. Last year for her birthday and she looks good on it.
A pure white, half sleeve dress. The neckline is not very low and it is just below her knee. Not really a flashy one but good enough for the event.
Besides she needs to lay low and not to grab any kind of attention or the little witch might notice them and pull some mean tricks on her.
