Chapter 3: Training
Shen Hu woke up with a scream as his body felt unbelievable amounts of pain. His father ran in to see what happened and saw his son in a feedle position. He knew what happened since the day before Shen Hu trained until he couldn't get up easily. He picked his son up and took him to the bathhouse where there was a warm bath. He gently took his son's clothes off and put him in the tub so his muscles would feel better. "Shen are you ok?"
Shen Hu looked at his dad with tears in his eyes. "Father why does it hurt so much. I can't take it. It hurts to much."
His father looked at him with grief for he forgot that training would leave the body sore. It's been a long time since he felt sore so it slipped his mind. He asked his wife to bring some herbs to put in the bath with his son so that it would ease the pain that his son was feeling. When she came back she she handed the herbs over. "I added some herbs that would strengthen the body to help him if he decides to train with you again."
His father looked at Shen Hu and felt horrible to see his son in so much pain. "Shen Hu… do you want to continue? You don't have to and we can wait until you are older and are able to take more pain."
Shen Hu forced his eyes opened and saw his father's gaze it was full of regret for not warning his son. Shen Hu wanted to make his father proud so he forced himself up and looked at him. "I want to continue so i can be strong and make you and mother proud."
Shen hu felt the pain start to recede and sat in the bath for awhile longer. After awhile the pain no longer bothered him and he got out. He got dressed and went with his father to the courtyard where they started to train. Shen Hu was able to do a couple more workouts then yesterday and made his father proud to see the determination in him. They went to the dining room and ate a grand meal since Shen's mother also felt bad for not warning him about being sore. When they finished the meal everyone left to their rooms where they went to sleep.
