Chapter 2: THE BEGINNING
After one week, Diana was sitting in her office, typing speedily and making notes on another case. She was a busy-bee, surrounded by a number of cases. But no one knew that it had become a coping mechanism for her. While working, she could escape from reality for hours. She knew if she would sit idle, then all the dark and depressing thoughts would overcome her mind, brimming it with sinister urges and forcing her to destroy every single thing in her sight.
Beneath her calm and quiet facade was a woman with an uncontrollable temper. She hated everything bright and sunny, she spent those years in darkness before she was saved by her family. But the mind is a strange place, those thoughts always come forth that you are trying the hardest to forget. Despite various therapies, sometimes she found it extremely difficult to control herself.
There was a knock on her door. "Come in. Have those documents arrived? "
"Yes ma'am, as you told, the delivery was at the exact time. Well... It's six o clock. Ma'am...you should take rest too." Ava was really concerned about her boss. "I will leave soon, you can go back now." Diana dismissed her and opened the documents. Ava politely wished her and went out of the office.
"Ah! you have very reliable sources. You proved yourself to be better than everyone else once again... thank you..." Diana whispered, smiling slightly.

Diana avoided mingling with her colleagues. She would socialize only if it was necessary, otherwise, the relationship between her and the other employees started with the Law Firm and ended there. She was rarely seen in the company's parties. She was therefore known in the Firm as the 'Aloof Queen' and 'Ms. Antisocial'.
She packed her stuff and went out of the huge skyscraper at seven.. 'Dad must have already returned, I must hurry back', thinking this she rushed into the underground parking lot and sped away in her Black Maybach. She didn't like the idea of keeping a driver as it would disturb her privacy. Moreover, she loved the thrill she got during speeding her dear car. She had been caught twice for speeding but it was nothing serious. Most of the times, she avoided getting caught by the police by controlling her urge of over speeding.
After half an hour, she reached the Everly Villa. It was a beautiful villa, with small gardens littered around it. Though it didn't look as extraordinary as the residence of some other wealthy people. There was a reason behind it. This mansion was just a temporary residence of the Everlys. Diana's mother passed away when she was ten years old.
Thus it was only her father, older brother, herself and some of the servants who lived there. The main branch of Everly Corporation was in another city, thus her father and brother were mostly out of the city. No one knew why they shifted here all of a sudden seven years ago. But no one could guess how the minds of wealthy people worked.
"Welcome home, Ms. Everly" the elderly Mrs. Jane greeted Diana at the door. "Thank you, Jane. Has dad come back?"
"Yes, Ms., he is in the library, waiting for your arrival."
"ok!"
Diana dumped her stuff on the nearby couch and entered the library.
"Do you really think what you are about to do is right and safe? Adrian Kinsley is not a simple man, he, too is involved in illegal dealings. I don't want to risk your safety again. Moreover, Aaron is also unsatisfied with your plan" a powerful voice boomed with concern.
Alexander Everly lost his wife years back and it was very painful. He didn't remarry. He can't afford to risk his daughter's life after what has happened earlier. He can't lose his child again.
Aaron Everly was his thirty-two-year-old son who was currently the CEO of Everly Corporation. He was overprotective and very much concerned about his little sister who seemed to be adamant on destroying the Kinsleys.
He knew it was not easy to destroy such a powerful, century-old family. But his sister was hellbent on doing so. So, he could do nothing but support her in every way he could.
"Don't worry, dad. I have planned this for years, looking for each and every loophole. Even if anything goes wrong our backer is the most powerful man in the country, he won't let anything happen to us! As for Kinsley, their illegal dealings is like a double-edged sword. If it could harm others then it could harm them too. From tomorrow, the war begins between us!" not even an ounce of nervousness could be traced on Diana's face. She was as confident as she could be.

"What the hell is going on in Kinsley International!?!? Who is digging out all these cases? In only one month, we have been stuck in the third court case. Do you people have any idea what will happen to Kinsley International after some more scandals and court cases like this?!?" Adrian tried to control his urge to throw all the things kept on the conference table.
One hour ago, Kinsley International -
"Sir, if we accept the merger from GMS Group, it will be in our favor. They are growing rapidly as seen in this chart, here. Their sale is increasing exponentially and it will soon surpass some of the mediocre companies." a young employee was giving his presentation to CEO Adrian Kinsley and some other important members of the Marketing department.
"I will consider it..." But Adrian was interrupted by her secretary who opened the room to the conference hall unannounced and without any prior information. Adrian was highly angered by her inappropriate behavior, but over the years he had mastered the art of masking his emotions well. He knew that Sally wouldn't have disturbed if there was not something extremely important.
"Mr. Adrian and all the other gentlemen present here, I apologise for my rude interruption, but there is an extremely bad news. May I talk to you, Mr. Adrian?" saying this Sally stood to one side of the conference hall with her face covered with sweat.
"What's the matter Sally? Why are so scared?" Adrian asked coldly. "Sir... this report was published about half an hour ago and now Mr. Sanders has been arrested from his mansion in the Willow Street, fifteen minutes ago!" Sally informed Adrian in a single breath.
Adrian started reading the news on Sally's iPad and after two minutes veins started throbbing on his forehead and hands... The report read

Kinsley International is once again involved in a big scandal. The Vice- President of Kinsley International, Evon Sanders got arrested from his mansion in Willow Street for being involved in numerous cases of human trafficking. Currently, it is unknown how it got revealed but it has been proved that Sanders was indeed involved in inhuman cases of human trafficking. For more details, read our article below..."
