Chapter 5: Chapter 5:
Violet sat in his bed pondering his thoughts. The man that bellowed at him suddenly seemed less brave and more confused than angry. He still made him pay him his bills of 161 dollars. He didn't even know how he got the money or how he got the wallet with the money in it. The man gratefully took the money without making a single remark about him. The dragon had vanished into his body which made him feel a bit uneasy thinking a dragon was living inside his body. The man sitting behind the desk started talking about him training his magical abilities and becoming overwhelmingly strong.
It had been months since he got to the building he felt at home but at unease. Not once had he felt that he was good at all sorts of magic. He could control the shape of his light beams. His favorite from for it was a spear shape he could pull it back and shoot it forward spiraling into his enemies which for now was dummies that were shredded to bits on impact of his spear. He felt deep satisfaction when inspectors would come up to him and stare in awe at his new techniques that were either entirely new or were improved versions of previous spectaculars. He wasn't the best at creating earth elementals but he was far from worse. The best at this type of magic was a mage named Haz almost 8 years older that Viole who is 14 years old. He felt confident he would become as skilled as Haz. Who was capable of making dirt into a not living living dragon that didn't breath fire but every time it looked like it would shoot fire it roars sending out sharp pillars out of the ground each a couple meters high and each one was taller than the last after about 10 seconds the pillars would shrink back into the ground shaking the earth with its re-enter set course. But Viole made not one elemental but a huge army of earth elementals that resembled a raptor each three and a half feet tall and from head to tail ten feet long. His best amount of summoning was 68 raptors before he began to feel weak and dizzy than he began to see stars flashing across his eyes. Most of the other trainees were very cautious of his power and mostly avoided him for fear of getting in way of his magical attacks. They had their reasons to avoid him and he had his one and only reason of avoiding them. them avoiding him meant he was an outcast who shouldn't meddle with the locals.
As time passed his powers exceeded everyone's wildest dream. He was capable of doing so much magic without breaking a sweat. He learned magic fairly quickly especially if he let the attack connect. all though when he let the attack connect he would end up with nasty scars or huge bruises than he would have to go through the process of going to the healer getting lectured than get his life in check.
He was now learning ice magic which he exceeded at. He made barriers and huge chunks of sharp ice would shoot out of the ground at his command. Soon the masters would have nothing to teach him but wait for him to sharpen his own skills. He had already come up with almost a hundred different spells. Some were for protection of others. Five were for magic enhancement and the rest were deadly explosions flying weapons and creation. The masters never seemed surprised when he accomplished something that took them years to master as if they expected him to surpass their wildest dreams. His favorite magical ability was his summoning. The earth elements were very tanky but with the raptors speed and agility plus its weight the raptors makes a formidable foe. Anyone it pounces on will suffer major injuries from the speed and weight of the raptor. His pack of raptors always followed the alpha raptor which was the fastest and largest in the entire pack and it only followed Violes orders making the entire pack his army.
He learned many useful enhancing spells like summoning the wind to make his shots more accurate curving shots at will. He could summon a large oak staff that had a ball of pure energy at its top. The ball of energy was named The Everlaster because of how when ever you draw power from it it seems to have infinite more energy left in it. He enhanced his raptors speed with the wind and power with the wand making the raptor almost impossible to defeat and with a whole army of them no one would dare challenge him. He felt as powerful as a god but knew that this was just the beginning of his powers. The masters taught him everything they knew some were extremely advanced like summoning iron and other elements from the ground and one even taught him to control the weather. All of which he saw as easy lessons that were extremely hard for the other trainees. He even surprised himself several times like when he changed a lightning bolts body into something entirely different. He change a lightning bolts body into a circle which made it look like a portal striking the ground than vanishing into thin air. He tried that same stunt over and over again to no avail. It was like the lightning bolt was refusing to change its shape at his command. He felt a deep satisfaction that he couldn't do everything on the first try but a bit humiliated that he did it on accident instead of on purpose and when he tried to do it on purpose he couldn't do it. Luckily there was no one there to see him fail besides the dragon that came out of its home in him occasionally to check on what he was doing. It just had to come out at the moment he changed the bolts form and now when he couldn't.
"Time would tell of how much more potential the boy will show." was all the Dragon thought when seeing the boys power.
