Chapter 23: The Dance
Walking into the dance I decide to take advantage of the dark clothes I was wearing and stand behind Jaune and Ruby.
"I see your hiding at the punch bowl too, huh?" Jaune says.
"Ye~p," Ruby says emphasizing her p with a pop.
"Your brother didn't come?" Jaune asks.
"Nope, not yet at least, according to the rest of his team he's still small but he said he may come later," Ruby answers.
"That means... it's gonna be round two of yesterday right?" Jaune responds. "Hopefully it won't be as bad though."
"You really think that's true?" Ruby asks him.
"No, but I really don't see how all those girls could be around him like that," Jaune answers.
"What's the problem?" Ruby responds.
"He's terrifying, and I'm not talking about the video Ozpin showed us in the beginning of the school year," Jaune complains. "The training we do every morning with him is horrible, I swear I can see death everytime I look at him, I mean I would want my worst enemy to face him."
"But you have to admit, you've gotten significantly better with your sword and shield," Ruby tells him. "We all have gotten better thanks to his training, I mean I can actually fight without Crescent Rose and it's not like he doesn't train as well."
Hearing this I couldn't help but hug my twin from behind.
"EEEEK," Ruby squeaks as she proceeds to judo filp me.
I calmly responds by making her twirl and pull her in for a hug.
"I really need to watch out when hugging you from behind, huh?" I say while hugging her.
"I thought you were still going to be in you adorable little form," Ruby says to me.
"You know me, if I want something to happen it will," I tell her as I let go.
"Your tie is crooked," Ruby comments as she straightens my tie.
"And this is why I hate monkey suits," I say as she steps back to admire her handiwork. "So how's it going socially awkward duo?"
"I asked Weiss out to the dance but she decided to go with this guy named Neptune," Jaune says sadly. "But who would blame her, the guy pulls off BLUE hair."
"So just like Sapphire then," I say absentmindedly. "She pulls it off well."
"Sapphire?" Ruby says with interest. "Who's she?"
"No one," I say without batting an eye. 'Why the heck did I mention Sapphire? I mean I expected her to know Sapphire was just her after I used Rebirth Rose. Unless Rebirth Rose get rid of any memories you have as your alternate self then that means-'
"Earth to Noir," I hear my twin's voice say. "You there?"
"Sorry, just zoned out for a bit," I tell her. "What do need?"
"The girls noticed you," Ruby says pointing to the group of girls coming my way.
"Well, before I get swept up by the others," I say. "Do you want my first dance of the night?"
"Sure," Ruby says knowing that I probably won't be able to rest for a while.
I take her hand and we begin a simple waltz.
"I forgot you knew how to dance," Ruby says after a few minutes.
"Well, I believe that dance can help with combat," I tell her. "Besides there are some fighting styles that are similar to dancing."
"You and your facts," Ruby says with a giggle. "You haven't did that in a while actually."
"If I remember correctly, you and Yang hated when I mentioned random facts," I retort.
"Well you never paid attention in class yet somehow you were at the top of the class," Ruby counters. "And you never studied, even now you left for a week and your still at the top of our class."
"Well, I'm just incredibly smart like that," I say with a grin.
"Know what, go dance with someone else," Ruby says jokingly as another set of hands grabs me. "Hi Twilight!"
"Hi Ruby! Mind if I take your brother now?" Twilight asks.
"Go ahead, I don't mind," Ruby answers.
"What about my permission?" I complain.
"Your permission doesn't matter," Twilight comments.
"That's sexist!" I exclaim.
"Girls can't be sexist," Twilight responds.
"You saying that is sexist," I say as we begin a simple foxtrot.
Needless to say my night went like that the entire time, after I finished dancing with Twilight, Graylit took me, then Blake (who I shamelessly flirted with), Weiss (who Ruby forced to dance with me), Pyhrra (with a cute shyness), Nora (who acted like a second Twilight), Emerald (which actually was surprising), Glynda (who actually purchased the pictures of shota me and from the smell of it had a bit of 'personal time' with them), Blake (I pulled her into a second dance to flirt with her again), Coco (who wanted me to model for her which I accepted for a cut of any profits she gets from selling the pictures), Velvet (who I agreed to let her take pictures of my sword), Neo (who was in disguise when I pulled her to dance, I also shamelessly flirted with her which earned me a blush from her), and Cinder (who snuck in after I got a call from Jekyll). After my dance with an evi- I mean Cinder, I decide to head back to my room for the night when I hear rustling in the trees nearby.
"Alright, which stalker are you?" I ask out loud. "Raven or the sexy ninja wolf girl?"
"My name is Lynn, you jerk!" The stalker/ sexy ninja wolf girl yells, I notice that she had blonde hair and yellow eyes and was blushing heavily. "You would know that if you listened to what I wanted to talk to you about!"
'I don't have the time nor energy to deal with this right now, I just want to sleep,' I think to myself. "Alright, why do I need to go to Celestia?"
"So you finally want to listen to me?" Lynn says with a better-than-thou attitude.
"Go ahead an tell me before you frickin' pounce on me and r*pe me, cause your clearly in heat," I interrupt.
"Okay, you have traits that give you the possibility to be the Wolf Prince," Lynn tells me. "So you need to be tested on the last requirement."
"What would it mean for me to be the Wolf Prince?" I ask curiously.
"Well, that would require you to come to Celestia," Lynn tells me.
"Gr~eat, just to know something I have to ho somewhere?" I complain. "I'll get around to later."
"I'll be around when you do," Lynn says before disappearing, even though I clearly can still hear her.
'Is she about to... nevermind she totally is,' I think before I head back to my dorm.
