Chapter 3: To become strong.
Ever since he was young he had always been looking for a purpose in life, but no matter what he did he could not find a suitable purpose, and since there was no divine providence to guide him, he fell into a rut, some call it a phase, some call it depression, some call it existential dread, but the nature of this feeling was temporary, it was a feeling of helplessness, and despair, but along with the realization of how weak and insignificant he was, there sprouted an idea.
«Since nothing i do will make a difference in the end, why don't i just do whatever i want to?» Thought Cola.
It was, of course, a dangerous thought. No matter how he acted, if he didn't follow the laws of the land, he would recieve punishment. But that didn't stop Cola, the next logical thought came; «if i am strong enough to avoid the punishment...» the thought had added a requirement to his quest.
What was his quest i hear the Void questioning, it was of course to have fun. To have fun until he could no longer have fun.
Motivations and beliefs are all related to perspective, the way one views the world, having already adopted the mindset of a bored god; Cola set out to become stronger.
However, becoming strong is no easy task, and becoming stronger than a nation is a task next to impossible in this modern world. So the quest, his motivations, were altered; «to have fun as long as there are no repercussions». And as such he lived and died, to the ripe old age of 46. The reason he died? The disrepair of his body after a life of decadence left him on the edge of death at such a young age, all that was needed was a catalyst to shock his consciousness out of this world.
-Enter stage left, Truck-kun.
Even though the truck drove so slow that the impact shouldnt have been fatal, his foot broke and his head hit the asphalt causing hemorrhaging in the brain and ultimately death.
«is this the end of the story?» I once again hear the Void call, of course not; it is merely the beginning.
Though this story may be considered the beginning of the end for that world.
