Chapter 29: Overwhelming Might

[Additional info: A fairy born in a large forest of the Monster Realm. After taking in the energy of the sky and land, it changed from a flower into a fairy. It can change its size as it pleases]

[Additional info: A fairy born from the energy of the moon. Its inborn light and dark elements along with its natural great speed and power allows it to overwhelm a majority of foes]
"An Epic grade monster?? That's the second one I've seen already." Ye Qin muttered quietly
"An Epic grade? From the looks of it, it seems to be a light and dark element monster as well! I doubt the other team will be able to put up a 'decent' fight against that." Wang Tao added
"Indeed, not unless they hold back. Plus the two of them seem to have plenty of experience working together." Ye Qin said

The Drive Mink is white in color with wheels on all four, though it wasn't large in size it isn't small either sitting at a height of 70cm and 75cm in length. On its head, metal like armor wrapped heavily around whilst its body had rough scale like armor
The Stone Golem is large in size being over 7 meters in height. Its body is shaped like a cube whilst its thick arms were over 1 meter in diameter. It's two legs are even thicker at around 1.5 meters and its head resembled a totem giving it a strange look. It's body however looked as smooth as clay making it appear as though it were an artwork
The Wood Fairy floated in the air on its four cicada like thin wings that are about 1 meter in length each. Its thin body resembled a human female but differed in that it had patterns around each part of its body. Its head is human like but also resembled a crown
As for the Moon Fairy, it resembled the Wood Fairy but looked even more like a female human. It's long pitch black hair danced behind it in the wind whilst its long limbs and sexy body charmed some of the crowd due to its looks that surpassed even humans
It's thin bikini like armor covered only the most important parts and is black in color whilst the rest of its limbs are pure white like a blank sheet of paper. Its feet looked like the shoes of the ancient humans from thousands of years before the world changed
On its back, a barely visible outline of its wings took the shape of a lotus whilst white sparkles of unknown energy appeared to be pouring out from its wings. Its perfect face made the crowd think of a goddess that descended down onto the earth
On the Rough Rock side, the Drive Mink plunged into the ground as soon as the announcer shouted 'go'. As for the other side, the Wood Fairy spread roots from its feet into the ground creating a forest that surrounded the entire stage though it didn't cover the view of the crowd
The roots spread deep into the ground forcing out the Drive Mink as the Stone Golem broke down parts of the forest where it stood. The Wood Fairy used its vines to entangle the Stone Golem which protected itself by folding its arms up whilst trying to break free from the thick vines
The Moon Fairy floated in the air elegantly without moving an inch as if it were a queen looking down on its subjects. Looking at the Drive Mink that zoomed through the thick forest, the Wood Fairy's eyes shone with a glint of green light when suddenly the ground beneath the mink began rising upward
Shake* Shake*
Crack*
The Drive Mink jumped off the rising ground as it flew towards the Wood Fairy and extended its long tail out like a whip and lashed it out. The Wood Fairy formed a thin shield in front of it that blocked the attack
The mink sent out a flurry of attacks hacking away at the thin shield which didn't crack even after dozens of blows. The Wood Fairy ignored the mink in front of it and focused its attention on the Stone Golem which had almost escaped its grasps
The fairy unrooted itself and spun before turning into a wisp of wind then teleported above the Stone Golem and shot a ball of wood and wind energy from its hand
Bang*
The golem took the attack and fell over whilst the fairy sent out another attack of the same caliber
Bang* Boom*
The Stone Golem became stuck in the ground as the floor beneath it cracked leaving it defenseless as if it were a newborn baby facing an adult
"Ohhh!!! Will this be it for one of the Rough Rock duo???" the announcer shouted
The Wood Fairy's vines wrapped up the Stone Golem completely and bound it to the ground. Afterward it flew towards its master and sat down on a lotus that appeared from the ground whilst the Moon Fairy was still in battle
The Drive Mink seeing its friend down, moved slightly towards it to try freeing the Stone Golem. "No focus on the battle!!" his partner shouted at him. Suddenly, the Drive Mink's direction changed mid air and headed towards the Moon Fairy
When it reached a distance of 3 meters away, the Drive Mink plunged itself into the ground and burrowed itself under the earth. It rummaged through the ground creating strange patterns above ground from the spectators view then after a while it created a dome out of the ground that expanded over 5 meters in diameter
The Moon Fairy didn't move as it set its gaze upon the dome and flickered its eyes
Boom*
The dome exploded under the powerful mental attack of the Moon Fairy as the Drive Mink resurfaced itself. As it dashed through the ground and just before landing each time, a blast of energy made up of dark element blew up
Boom* Boom*
Leaving no space for the Drive Mink to land, the Moon Fairy created a blinding light that stopped everyone from seeing anything. Using that it created a cage of light that trapped the Drive Mink mid air
"Grrr, we can't do a single thing!" one of the Rough Rock duo growled. On the other end, the Moon Fairy's owner said bluntly "You better give up before we get rough."
"No, we will never give up!" they replied in unison
"So be it." she added
Whoosh*
Suddenly, the Moon Fairy's eyes shone with demonic purple light. The cage of light that had previously confined the Drive Mink shrunk in the blink of an eye and exploded

Shee*
The Drive Mink's already wounded body bled like a river as its cries resounded in the arena. As if it could hear its comrades cries for help, the Stone Golem suddenly became more powerful with a sudden surge of energy as it struggled to break free from the grasps of the Wood Fairy's roots
Grr* Grr*
Strik* Strik*
"It's here folks, will the Stone Golem be able to break free from the Sweet Scent duo's bindings and save its comrade or will it fall here!?"
"Find out next time on the next episode of ***** haha kidding" the announcer commented
As a few of the vines began to break, the Wood Fairy's eyes twitched slightly as if it was connected to the vines. When more vines started breaking, the Wood Fairy's eyes opened as it summons a huge tree that was over 4 meters in thickness and slammed it down onto the Stone Golem like a kid playing whack a mole at the local arcade
"Why would you look at that! The Stone Golem was just about to break free came crashing down once again!!! Looks like we have our winners and this time the Sweet Scent duo have come back stronger and more elegant than before!!!" the announcer spoke
Just before the Moon Fairy finished it off, the master of the Stone Golem proclaimed "We.. we surrender!!!"
Hearing this, the Moon Fairy paused its attack and turned into a wisp of black light before returning to the Monster Sea whilst the Wood Fairy smiled and shut its eyes as it similarly returned
"There we have it! The Sweet Scent duo have once again made it past the first round and are coming strong! It's unfortunate for the Rough Rock duo to be facing them this early but one can only curse their fate!" the announcer announced
"Wooo!!! Sweet Scent!! Sweet Scent!!!" the men cheered especially loud amongst the crowd
Looking at the Sweet Scent duo, Ye Qin thought "With a combo like this they didn't become the champions even once? Either their opponent was really that strong or they were just holding back completely. If so why would they be showing off their true power now? Anyway, I remember reading that the War God Academy had two instructors that are both females however, no one besides those with importance even in the academy knew their real identities."
"Could they be those mysterious teachers?" he wondered as both teams left the arena
After watching a few more matches that weren't as exciting as the previous match, the four students left the arena and headed for dinner before heading back to their dorms and rested for the night
