Chapter 4: The Dreaded Day
1 week have passed. Anna was slumping down on her desk, sighing heavily while thinking about the happenings that occured on the day she fled away from the rooftop ,leaving hoseok alone there while trying so hard to hold back her tears from gushing out.
When work was done on that hurtful day, Anna immediately rushed out from the office because she was to broken and ashamed to face him and she only had herself to blame.
The last thing that she remembered was heading out to drink the sorrow and pain away, somehow she cant even recollect on how she got home.
It seemed like she downed a lots of bottles that night cause her memory from that evening is blurred. Eventually, Anna woke up the next day with a terrible hang over.
She tossed and turn in the bed, clutching her hair because of the pounding pain from her head. She finally faced the side of the bed and reached out her hand to grab the phone which she fortunately placed on the bed side table.
Tapping it open she saw hoseok's text, telling her what day, time and where to meet, which made her felt more terrible, bile rose up from her throat making Anna rushed towards the bathroom wobbly, discarding the phone with what she deemed an ominous message on the bed.
When she remembered those scenes again, a heavy sigh flew out of her mouth. Anna wished that this day would never come, since today is the day of Hoseok's date.
She was lost in her thought's when her phone suddenly buzzed. She grabbed it and saw Hoseok's number calling her. Sighing again, she felt like all of the happiness left her because she kept sighing, she answered the call.
"Hello? Why did you call?."
She answered with a neutral tone, trying to cover the depression she is currently feeling right now.
"Ahhh.... I was just calling to remind you that today is the day, since you're a little bit forgetful. "
Anna heard the voice of the man she loves, reminding her of the dreaded date. Oh how she wish that she can forget it. But something like this is not easy to forget, especially if it involves somebody special in your heart. Nobody woul want a person they like or love to head out and date somebody.
"Don't worry i didn't forget. Is that all?."
She replied. Anna really wanted to end the call, her heart feels like it's being squeezed out. 'Stupid Heart', she thought.
"Also remember to wear something nice okay?. Well i gotta go back to practice. See ya later."
With a smile Hoseok turned off the call and joined the rest of the members with a haooy skip and finally started practicing.
Anna really wanna bang her head on the wall and forget everything. Oh how she wish that she can become dumb. But that would be unlikely.
"Stupid....Stupid dumb heart. Who gave you the permission to fall in love. Why didn't you ask brain first for an opinion."
She wailed. Luckily her co wokers were outside eating and she was the only person left inside the office. She stood up and went outside to grab some food and passed by her house since it was near and picked some clothes, since hoseok asked her to dress nice. She wondered why should she dress nicely when she is not the person going out on a date. She tried not to, but she ended up sighing again. Ah curse her life.
Five hours passed and she was already dressed. She decided to wear something nice and simple but exuded a feel of elegance.
She wore a Beige silk blazer, white crew neck t-shirt, black jeans and beige pumps. She also decided to wear a bracelet on her right hand and a watch on her left. She might not be on the same standards as the woman that Hoseok would be seeing, but it wouldnt hurt her to really dressed up. She'll just put it up as a women's pride or maybe she just doesnt really want to look shabby.
She went to the restaurant indicated in the text. But she got their first since Hoseok texted her to go their first since he is still completing something. She have no idea if the blind date partner of hoseok is already here, since he didn't mention the girls name. The waiter led her to the seat that hoseok made reservation for which was actually two table. Hoseok's table and her table. The waiter gave her a menu and service wine for her to drink.
After waiting for a while Hoseok arrived. The waiter was leading him to his table which was behind her. Hoseok sat at the chair directly behind her. Anna didn't pay him any attention and continued to drink the wine in her glass.
