Chapter 10: Chapter 10 : Fighting and Defending Are Two Different Things
"What are YOU looking at? Huhh?!"
The leader shouted as he release the boy in his grip and walked towards the 'dude'. Although Mei Xing's cap covered part of her face, he could still tell that 'dude' was showing him sympathy.
" Nothing much actually... Just a bunch of cowards." Mei Xing said as she gave a mocking smile.
The leader signaled the rest of his gang to circle around 'him'.
While Mei Xing was being calm, Jun Hong was feeling the opposite. Especially now that Mei Xing is involved, he wants to make sure that nothing will happen to her.
But little did he know, Mei Xing is a Taekwondo Black Belt 2nd Degree holder....
" Let's teach 'him' a lesson, shall we?"
Two of them grab Mei Xing's arm each and both gave a knee attack on her stomach at the same time. After they let her arms go, Mei Xing ended up in a crawling position. The leader continue 'torturing' her by kicking Mei Xing's stomach hard twice before laughing like a maniac. The remaining two were guarding against Jun Hong.
Jun Hong was extremely mad and about to charge in and take action but paused as he saw Mei Xing standing up and started laughing.
" PFFT.. HAHAHAHA! That's all you've got? Mann... Obviously I was overestimating you guys.. "
Mei Xing looked straight into the leader's eye and gave a malicious grin which send chills down his spine.
" My turn."
Mei Xing shift her weight on her left foot, turn her body and landed a powerful turning kick on the bully's face on her left using her right foot. After that , she gave another powerful back kick to the bully on her right. As he was caught by surprised, he got kicked in the stomach and tumbled backwards.
After two down, she looked straight to the leader's eye, did a 360 degree jumping spinning turning kick which perfectly landed on the leader's face and sent him spinning like a ballerina before he tripping over a basketball.
Everything happened too fast for the remaining two bullies to understand the situation. As they were about to attack Mei Xing, Jun Hong took the chance to quickly grab both of their head and smashed their heads into each other.
Just like that, the five bullies were taught a lesson...
15 minutes later, two patrol officers come and were surprised to see 10 injured teenage boys. However, 5 of them are being treated by Mei Xing while the other 5 were half naked while being tied up by Jun Hong. He took off their shirts and use it to tie their hands together. He also tied their shoelace together so they couldn't run away when they gain consciousness.
After sensing the patrol officer's presence, Mei Xing stopped her treatment and went to explain the situation to them. As for the evidence, there's a car parking in front of the basketball court which has a black box.
After the investigation, the 5 bullies had to spend a night in prison. The parents of the bullies had to apologise on behalf of their sons to the parents of the players and players themselves. The players did not forget to thank Jun Hong and Mei Xing for their help.
It was almost 7pm when everyone had already left the police station except Jun Hong and Mei Xing.
Mei Xing : " Looks like everything is over. I'll get going then. Bye."
Jun Hong : " Wait!"
Mei Xing : " Huh? What now?"
Jun Hong : "..." [Staring at her stomach]
Mei Xing : I'm fine.. Seriously, those kicks aren't powerful enough to knock me out.
Jun Hong : I'm sorry... Because of me you ended up fighting with those jerks...
Mei Xing : Jun Hong, let me make this clear. First, you didn't do anything wrong so there is nothing to apologise for. Secondly, I didn't choose to get involve because of you. Last but not least, fighting and defending are two different things. That's why I had to provoke them so that they make the first move. Only then I can declare that I was DEFENDING, but not FIGHTING.
Jun Hong : You mean you've plan that all along? Did you even know about black box?
Mei Xing : Nah, the black box was by sheer luck. Even without it, the player's statement would be sufficient to ensure that we both won't get in trouble. After all, we were just passerby who wanted to help them by defending.
Jun Hong : Wow... I... I'm impressed.. If only I thought of that too.. I was worried at first but you seem so relax and confident. I couldn't help but expecting something and surely you didn't disappoint me. Tell me, is it because you've train a lot of Taekwondo that you're confident that you could beat the 5 of them?
Mei Xing : I'm not obliged to answer you. If there's nothing else, then goodnight.
Jun Hong : Wait! Let me walk you home.
Mei Xing : No thank you.
Jun Hong : But it's really dark now. Anything could happen on your way back.
Mei Xing : Didn't you just saw me kick ass just now?!
Jun Hong : But you're still a girl.
Mei Xing : !!!!
Jun Hong : Just see it as a token
of appreciation. Okay?
Mei Xing : Suit yourself.
