"But you did not. Foolish mortals, FEEL THE WRATH OF NAZARICK!!!"

Skeletal wings formed from Corvus' back, allowing him to hover a few metres in the air. He stalked his target from above and waited for the perfect opportunity to strike.

"Enough of this, undead!"

"Martial art: Field" The commander shouted.

"That will not work on me, mortal."

[skill: Death's Conviction]

Suddenly the commander felt a heavy stinging sensation all over his body, the sensation persisted even through the use of a singular recovery position.

"DAMMIT! WHAT DID YOU DO?!!"

"Nothing, pitiful livestock." Corvus playfully spoke.

The brothers continued to war down the knights, reducing the latter's number to just 20 soldiers. The effort was starting to slow down however. The skeletons were starting to get pushed back by the remaining human, as the humans went into a tight box formation.

"DESTROY THOSE BONEHEADS AND HELP ME FINISH OF THIS ONE!" The commander yelled to his troops.

"Heh, you made me acknowledge you, unfortunately a skeleton is still a skeleton."

The commander lunged into the air and landed his hammer right on Corvus' sword, blocking the impact. Corvus flew down and engaged his opponent, preparing a few of his own skills.

"Executioner art: Execution matrix."

The red mist did not appear this time, instead, the commander's armour was heavy scratched all over; completely scraping off all of the paint.

"That is nothing!" The commander shouted.

"Martial art: GOD SLAM!"

The commander's hammer enlarged threefold and headed straight towards the skeleton.

CLANG

Corvus barely blocked the hammer with just his sword, pushing the skeleton back a few metres. The skeleton slowly moved back towards his target and engaged him once more.

The battle ensued with the two combatants battling in the middle of the clearing, all the other combatants had scattered to other areas, but the battle continued.

Corvus continued his unrelenting assault, decimating the commander's armor; only leaving chainmail to protect him. The commander looked at Corvus with fury in his eyes, preparing to unleash all he had, to kill the skeleton.

"DAMN YOU!" The commander shouted.

"I, 4TH SEAT, WEISSNICHT MORTIS, SHALL SLAY YOU!"

The commander finally spoke his name, invoking no fear in the skeleton. The skeleton simply continued to stare at his prey, unfazed by the difficult opponent ahead.

The skeleton dropped his sword and looked toward his opponent once more. The death in his empty eye sockets shone in a deep red colour, leaving no room for impurities. The skeleton stretched his right arm to the side, and chanted.

"You have been found innocent."

The ground rumbled to his right side, creating the sound of a miniature earthquake. The ground opened up to reveal a black gavel and table appearing from beneath the earth. The skeleton clutched the gavel and struck it on the table twice.

BOOM

A surge of negative energy was emitted from a nearby crater. The energy dissipated shortly after to reveal a golden figure behind a thin layer of smoke. The figure held a sword and a shield, quickly approaching the scene.

"BROTHER!!!"

The figure jumped high into the sky and threw a blade at the commander, striking the latter in the leg.

"FUCK!"

"Watch your mouth, human." Said a familiar voice.

It was none other than Doorman, who had returned from the depths of the infinite abyss. He clutched his shield and went in front of the now fatigued Corvus.

"How much MP did you spend, Brother Corvus?" Doorman asked.

"All of it."

Corvus had exhausted all of his MP, leaving him in a vulnerable state.

"HAH! Only two puny skeletons? I can easily destroy you!" The overconfident commander yelled.

Corvus drew his sword from the ground and slowly got back into a combat position.

"Brother, I will cast a powerful protection spell on thee, but this will only last a moment. Please use thine most powerful attack in the duration." Doorman whispered.

"If we fail, there will not be a tomb to defend."

Mortis watched in confusion of what had just happened, having witnessed the skeleton that he had just slain coming back to life.

"Impossible."

"Greater Protection!" Doorman shouted.

Corvus charged at the commander with all of his remaining energy, planning his strike in every second he took to approach his target.

"Martial art: Quintessential Existence!"

A blur of motion appeared before the commander, his opponent was simply a blur. The blur quickly closed its distance with the commander.

"IN THE NAME OF NAZARICK!"

BOOM

The scene erupted in smoke. The smoke slowly dissolved into the air to reveal a large crater in between the 2 combatants. The crater was unlike the ones that the commander was capable of.

A figure appeared in between the combatants. The fighting in the clearing had come to a halt, all of the remaining human soldiers had regrouped behind their commander, and the brothers gathered around Doorman.

The figure finally became visible, revealing a masked figure with a red suit; sporting a rather unique tail.

"Who spoke the name of Nazarick?"
