Chapter 18: Chapter 17: The Great Hunt part 2

The figure greeted the customers in the room.

He was of an extremely muscular build and wore a golden cloak adorned with many jewels. Beneath the cloak were a body full of scars and a layer of chainmail. The figure had a shaved head and kept a small beard.

"Welcome to my establishment ladies and gentlemen, today we are going to 'auction' servants!" The man shouted cheerfully.

The guards revealed a woman in a maid outfit with pointy ears. The woman looked sad and didn't look to anywhere but her feet. The figure looked at the woman with a wicked smile and began the auction.

Atlas watched the man's every action, trying to indicate the latter's dominant arm and what sort of weapon he was hiding. Atlas managed to observe a small bulge coming from the man's side, possible a weapon. Atlas and Narberal proceeded to an empty table and both took a seat. From there they could appear to be less suspicious.

"We will start the bidding at 1000 gold coins." The man spoke.

Numerous people placed their bids as they attempted to procure the servant for themselves. The event was filled with arguments between bidders who were threatening each other to back off their bids. Eventually only 2 bidders remains; an incredibly fat man dressed in purple robes, and a crazed looking man that seemed to be nearing his death bed.

"Young man, you'd better let me have this specimen!" The old man shouted.

"No can do, this one is mine."

Narberal gave a quick nod to Atlas.

"It is time." She whispered.

Atlas stood up, causing the table to fall over and cause a huge mess.

"Greetings, lower lifeforms." Atlas spoke.

The room fell silent as every single person in the room placed their attention upon him.

"Hello, sir, are you interested in placing a bid?" The muscular man asked.

"No, I am here to claim."

Atlas drew his crimson sword from thin air and swung it straight to the old man, chopping cleanly through the man's neck; killing him. The man's body laid on the floor as Atlas simply turned his head towards the auctioneer yet again.

"Claim lives."

Atlas tightly squeezed his grip on his sword, walking towards the group of table which contained the majority of patrons. His eyes glowed a deep red from beneath his helmet, giving off a very hateful aura.

"Wait, what are you doing-"

Atlas held his sword to the roof and cleaved a group of customers, instantly killing the weak human trash. He quickly moved through the rest of the tables, slaughtering all of the patrons with single motion slashes. After he finished, he turned back to the man and his guards. All of his guards through the whole room were standing still with dreadful expressions on their faces, unable to react to the massacre on the premises.

"What do you think you are doing in my establishment? Slaughtering these small fry does nothing to me, I have other customers! But shaming the honour of my establishment, that is a problem." The man spoke.

He drew a golden mace from his robes, tapping it one the floor of the establishment. He turned to his guards and whispered some commands. Immediately, aloof the guards drew their swords and surrounded Atlas and Narberal.

"I see you brought a beautiful woman with you, mind if a take her?" The man laughed.

Atlas tilted his head to the side and let out a sigh.

"Human trash, only thinking about animalistic behaviours. This is why you are lesser life forms, and lesser life forms are nothing more than cattle." Atlas spoke.

A chill went down the target's spine as he heard Atlas' words. He felt a shiver course through his body as he prepared to speak again.

"Aren't you human too?"

Atlas instantly decapitated all of the surrounding guards in a single slice, dropping them all to the ground. Atlas held his sword upright and lifted his helmet slightly, licking some of the blood off the blade.

"A dreadful taste." Atlas sighed.

"Disgusting, you actually licked that filth." Narberal spoke.

The man started to laugh after he watched what had just happened, knocking his mace on the tables in front of him. He slowly approached the duo and set his eyes on Atlas.

"SON OF A BITCH! YOU DARE KILL MY MEN??!!" He shouted.

The target lunged in a split second landing a powerful strike with his mace directly on Atlas' helmet. Atlas flew 10 metre until he hit the wall, collapsing to the ground afterwards.

"Weak piece of shit." The man remarked.

"How about you come and 'serve' me?" The man asked Narberal.

"Chain lightning!"

Narberal cast a powerful lightning spell that shocked the man, briefly stunning him.

"I will take you by force." He spoke angrily.

Atlas got back up from the ground, with his helmet completely shattered and blood pouring down from his scalp. The blood did not seem to fade, blocking his vision and causing dizziness.

"Heh... not dead?"

"Martial art: Ability boost"

"Greater agility"

"Body of steel"

"Awareness"

"Durability"

The target ran straight towards Atlas, completely ignoring Narberal. He jumped and prepared an overhead slam with his mace, attacking the distracted Atlas.

"Martial art: FLAME IMPACT!"

The man struck his mace straight into Atlas' skull, creating a large impact crater which engulfed the two completely. After he struck him prone, the man continuously struck the skeleton in the skull while Narberal casted spells to no avail.

"IT'S NO USE! I AM IMMUNE TO 7TH TIER MAGIC!" The man shouted in a frenzied state.

The man finally stopped attacking Atlas, leaving a burnt body in the crater, completely unrecognisable. Although the body had been struck so many times, it did not break, albeit it still looked dead.

"Strong body, weak will." The man commented.

"Now then, how about you serve me?" He asked Narberal again.

"Oh, and don't worry about your friends outside, they are being held off by my elite guards." He laughed.

"..."

Narberal looked towards Atlas' body.

"Trash, couldn't even take a few hits."

BOOM

The crate ignited with red fire, setting the chairs alight. From within the flames, a figure could be seen walking out of the fire; a dead figure.

"Human filth." The figure spoke.

Atlas came out from the flames, displaying his true form, wielding his blade in his left hand. He pointed his right hand toward the target and walked forward.

"Death knight? Only such a weak creature?" The man chuckled.

"DRAGON CHAIN LIGHTNING"

Narberal summoned forth a powerful maelstrom of lightning that pulse straight into the target, instantly disintegrating the objects in front of it. However, the man appeared after the dusted settles, mostly unharmed.

"I said I was immune to such magic!" He laughed.

SLICE

Atlas spun his body and dashed towards the target, leaving a huge wound on the latter's shoulder.

"FUCK!"

"Martial art: skeletal perfection"

"Pillar stance"

"Field"

"Counter strike"

The skeleton finished chanting his martial arts and stood upright, facing the target.

"Execute."

Another large gash appeared on the man, causing a large explosion of blood to cover the area.

"Heh... ONLY THIS MUCH?"

"A skeleton? I have measures."

"A skeleton? Is that all you see me as? Even you, a human, can tell that a skeleton is much slower and less powerful. I am a skeleton, but not by your understanding. I am a Bone Devil, a mid tier undead, and you are just human trash. Now, ignite my will." Atlas spoke.

A flaming red aura surround the skeleton, causing his bones to turn a deep crimson. A small crown of yellow flames radiated from his skull as he finished his transformation. He cracked all of the bones in his body as he finished, resetting his condition.

CRACK CRACK CRACK CRACK CRACK CRACK

"I do not know why, but humans always seem to stop fighting when one speaks. Truely a terrible mistake." Atlas spoke.

"I may be weaker with my base power, but my lord has granted me strength in devotion. DIE BY MY BLADE!"

"Do you see now? That I am not human." Atlas spoke with a chilling tone.

"Wait for my sisters to finish the guards!" Narberal shouted.

"You may be stronger than me, but you are not capable of fighting this opponent. I will do this myself, before Yuri and Solution are done." Atlas responded.

"Your confidence in yourself will be your downfall." Narberal spoke.

"But my confidence is in the Supreme Beings, and the Supreme Beings are absolute."
