Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Private talks
Mei had been sitting patiently on the couch for nearly fifteen minutes waiting on Yuzu to come through. Tonight was movie night for the young couple, and after saying she would be right through, Yuzu had still not appeared.
Mei had a meeting tomorrow morning with her grandfather and class in the afternoon, it was already eight and if she wanted to go to bed at a decent time they would not be finishing the movie.
It was another few minutes before irritation got the better of her and she was walking down the hall, fresh words on the tip of her tongue as she pushed open the bedroom door that was slightly ajar. Though before she had a chance to speak her mind, she brought herself to a stop at the bedroom door at the sound of the blonde's voice.
"I know Mommy doesn't think it, but I really am excited to meet you." Yuzu's soft voice echoed lightly in the room and had Mei stuck at the door. Yuzu was sitting on the edge of the bed one hand resting against her stomach her eyes drawn to the same place, a gentle smile on her lips.
"And I know I haven't been showing it lately, but I don't want you to think that I don't want you cuz I really do want to meet you. I already love you more than anything and anyone else in the world, oh but don't tell Mommy that, she might get mad at us!" Yuzu giggled as spoke the last part, her fingers tapping a light pattern on her clothed torso now.
"We're going to see you in a few weeks so you better say nice and healthy until then, Mommy said last night she knows you are going to be just peachy and I think that too. Soon enough you are gonna make me a little unwell, but I know you'll be growing stronger and stronger so it's alright..."
Mei leant against the door frame, unable to wipe the smile off her face as she listened to the blonde speak to their unborn child. It was true she had concerns about Yuzu wanting to keep their baby, she had seemed rather down since telling her. Bringing up constant worries and stresses about their life to come, Mei wasn't sure Yuzu was one hundred per cent on board, but as she watched her wife on the bed all those worries melted away.
"I've gotta admit tho, you sure have given me quite the shock. Making us move and chose new schools all sooner than we thought we would have to, but Mommy wants to get it sorted out now for you so I guess we don't have a choice do we? I mean happy wife happy life, isn't that what they say?" Smiling a little to herself, Yuzu gazed up at the ceiling as she thought back to the several comments Mei had dropped over the past couple days, knowing she would have to make her decision sooner rather than later.
"You know what?! When you are finally here with us I'm going to show you everything! Oh and you can finally meet your Grandma and Granddad, they were super shocked when we told them about you, but I know they love you too... "
"Mommy has bought me all these new supplements to keep you growing and keep my energy up, I don't like taking them all that much but I know you need them and that's enough for me."

Mei gave a final smile before gently closing the door as she gave the blonde the privacy she needed at this time. Making her way back through to the living room, Mei gave another smile to herself as she thought back to the scene she had walked in on. Settling back into the cushions on the couch, she continued her wait on the blonde coming through for their movie, happy to wait as long as the blonde needed.
