Chapter 6: Zombie Dungeon (4)
The interior of the subway was dark and gloomy, most of the lights were not working properly and constantly flickered.
Hans carefully descended the stairs and saw a strange zombie standing near to his location all by itself. The zombie was huge, at least 3 meters tall and it had a bloated body with puss flowing out from everywhere. The drops of puss sizzled as they hit the floor and melted it.
'Acid huh? That's troublesome, I can't avoid it...' he thought and slowly took out the shotgun, 'There are no zombies behind me so the sound is not a problem there since I cleared the station behind me but the front is different, if a lot of them suddenly swarm, I should run away.'
He had cleared the highest floor of the station that consisted of a large number of ordinary zombies and a few chainsaw-wielding ones. He had killed them silently from behind and it all had worked out; However, the zombie in front of him was covered in acid so he couldn't do the same.
Hans waited until the back of the zombie was toward him and slowly approached closer, he aimed the shotgun at the head and fired without hesitation.
The sound echoed around as half the head of the zombie was blown away and exploded in a shower of acidic parts. The Zombie turned around and sprinted toward Hans with half its head missing.
He stepped back a few steps as he aimed and fired again. This time the zombie fell down as its head was gone. A drop of its body fell on Hans's boots and melted the surface. He quickly took out the machete and cut that part and threw it away before it could reach his feet.
'I hope there is no more of these acidic ones... One of my feet is exposed now.' He could see through the hole he had created by cutting the surface.
In front of Hans was the rapid transit tube, it was pitch black in either direction without a train in sight. He could faintly hear growls approaching from the left side. 'The sound must have attracted them.'
He retreated to the steps and kept a close watch, to his surprise, a horde of zombies slowly came out. They were ordinary ones.
He waited till all of them were visible and calculated something then concluded, 'I can take them.'
He took out one of his Uzis and opened fire, since it had a suppressor on the sound wasn't as loud as the Shotgun so he could use it without much worry, the zombies grew enraged and ran toward him in frenzy. There were a few dozens of them.
He slowly stepped up the stairs as he continued firing, 8-9 zombies died from the assault as the horde reached the stairs and began climbing to reach him.
Hans wasn't fazed, he reloaded and continued firing, due to the closed space, more zombies died on the way to reach him.
A smile formed its way to his lips as he swapped to the shotgun and began mercilessly firing. The zombies fell one after another as he retreated. Jaws, hands, and legs were blown around as their rotten flesh splattered on the walls and the floor with each shotgun blast. The sight of them gave Hans a strange sense of satisfaction.
He finally reached the last step he decided to swap weapons and took out the chainsaw with a crazy smile and turned it on. He hacked toward the coming zombie.
The chainsaw shook in his hand as whatever came upward was cut in half and fell down from the open side of the stairs; one of them used its hand to push the chainsaw away and pounced on him only to be punched in the face. Its head was blown away and the headless body was cut apart like the others and fell down.
Hans felt exhilarated and yet calm, he suddenly jumped toward the remaining zombies coming up, the chainsaw cut anything in the way with his weight behind it. Before he could crash, he moved the chainsaw aside and kicked a zombie in the face to do a black flip; He landed on the handrail perfectly and began sliding down and cutting everything in half. His balance was superhuman.
He heard a few growls and turned to see a few acid and chainsaw zombies coming from the tunnel, he didn't stop and cut down the last zombie on the stairs with the chainsaw and landed on the ground.
"Didn't expect new guests, want a piece of the action?" He said with a smirk, not that the zombies understood; Around him were the torn apart corpses of many zombies that made the scene quite sinister.
They ignored everything since they were mindless and sprinted toward him with loud roars.
'I need to dodge the acidic ones and kill the chainsaw bastards first... I need max speed, the chainsaw is too slow... no bullets since the acid of the big ones will splash if I shoot at close range...' He thought as he swapped his chainsaw with the machete. 'Inventory is so efficient...'
He ran toward them and appeared in front of them in an instant, the acid zombie in the front tried to grab him but he crouched and slid from between its legs. On the other side, two chainsaws rose to cut him but he used his hands to jump and dodged them.
Mid-air he observed the situation as if it was in slow motion, 'Two chainsaws are hitting the ground and each other which will cause an imbalance in these two beside me; The acid one in the front is slowly turning around but it will take him one second to attack, the one in the back is preparing to punch to me. The other chainsaw bastard is thrusting it toward me... I see.'
He shifted himself a little to the side and dodged the chainsaw, he suddenly looked toward the coming punch from the acid zombie in the back and pushed the chainsaw with his machete to its direction; He used kicked with both his legs toward the left zombies head and used the momentum to jump away. All this happened in an instant and he could only do it thanks to his immense Dexterity that gave him inhuman balance, agility, and reaction speed.
The Chainsaw collided with the fist and Acid splashed around due to that. Acid rained on the zombies below, less on the left one since Hans had kicked him away; The zombie on the right began melting and died instantly; The Chainsaw got stuck in the fist of the acid one and it lifted its fist to get rid of it which caused the zombie holding the chainsaw be lifted up with it.
It raised its fist and punched down to get rid of the Chainsaw stuck there and the zombie holding it was thrown away and hit the acid zombie that had just turned around to punch the non-existent Hans; The punch landed on that zombie and it went through its chest and melted it in half. It died as well.
The left zombie that had been kicked away stood up to attack Hans again only for a chainsaw to cut its head off; It was the one stuck in the fist of the Acid zombie that went berserk and waved its hand around hoping to get rid of it.
Hans used this time to get out his shotgun and reloaded it and began firing to the head of the two acid ones as he made some distance.
"Boom" "Boom"
The two fell with heavy thuds echoing. Hans stood straight and looked at the mess around him while breathing rapidly, 'Good thing I have a mask so I don't have to deal with the smell... I leveled up huh?' He saw the blue triangle pulsing a little which meant he had leveled up. He checked quickly. 'A new title? Leveled up Twice? Nice!'

Before he could check it further, a horrid smell hit his nose. He realized what had happened and paled a little, 'Fuck! My mask was hit by the acid! I fuckin' jinxed it.'
He took it off and vomited immediately after due to the smell around. It was the worst thing that had ever reached his nose, 'Goddammit! It's as if someone put human meat to fester for a week with maggots and put that inside the corpse of a cat that was 2 weeks dead and minced them then put it under my nose... Urgh!'
He walked away as he vomited and moved to the dark tunnel they came from. A while later the smell became much less and he finally calmed down a little. He equipped the title 'Zombie Slayer' instead of the gamer for the damage boost.
He walked for a few minutes in the darkness but he could partially see things due to his great senses. He saw the end of the tunnel and slowly walked to the side and peeked to see what was going on.
He smirked in excitement. 'Finally!'
Inside was a giant zombie that was at least 6 meters tall, it was extremely intimidating and had chains all over its body. It sat on the ground seemingly dazed but very much awake and ready to go.
'The Boss...'

The memory won't be reset so he will remember everything. If he dies only skills(of the gamer ability), levels, and stats will be reset. Titles and inventory will also not be reset.
Love Interests: There will be no love interest in the MCU or the next world but there will be one in the 3rd world. The reason a harem tag exists is because of causal flings, not multiple wives.
If the MC dies, I promise that you will be surprised what answer I have to him regaining everything in 1 chapter; Various cheating methods that will surprise you each time. Actually, many answers for this situation so don't worry, the MC shall not be nerfed. He will get skills/Drops after each dungeon clear.
As for combat; He is learning as he is clearing dungeons so he gets stronger and more skilled every day. Also, the gamer's ability does not restrict him from learning whatever he wants outside of it.
The level cap and curse of a god: I have a good plot planned for that, will you let me write it or should I drop?! :(
Future upgrades; No, The gamer ability won't get upgraded, and since I am aiming to be realistic so no shop and stuff like that, there are enough stories with those. I want the MC to struggle, not to become a god in 1 chapter...
He gets affected by the snap even if in a dungeon since it is a pocket dimension still within the universe.
Killing a god is entirely possible if you become a god yourself...
