Chapter 13: Snow Festival 3

The sun is almost gone, leaving on small rays as it is ready to take its slumber.

The Prince stands up and bowed, everyone, cheered and clapped their hands.

The piano disappears as the Prince goes down, the emcee called Princess Irie.

"NOW, BE READY TO HAVE YOUR HEARTS BE CAPTURED BY THE PRINCESS LORAINNE EMERSYN SUPERIO LUIOE, THE PRINCE TRIS CASSIEL'S FIANCE!"

Everyone cheered once again as she went to the stage, she and the Prince glances at each other.

"Good luck, Lorainne," The Prince whispers.

"You were amazing," the Princess answers.

"I know," The Prince smiled.

The Princess breathes in and out then the emcee approach her, "Your Highness, It's a pleasure to meet you. What are you going to do? What do you need?"

She smiled, "I'll sing as well. I need a guitar, please," she said.

The emcee looks at her weirdly, 'Oh, yeah. I am not supposed to say thanks,' she thought while remembering the same expression from Luisa and the others the first time she came here, 'how are they?' she thought as the emcee hand her a guitar.

She went on the middle of the stage while the other staff on the stage fixes the mic to be on her level.

She smiled, she suddenly remembers when she was young, she used to perform to a lot of parties where her father is invited.

She began strumming the guitar while the people went 'aw' with the melody.

She closed her eyes, remembering her life before then started singing.

She wants to go back no matter if she's dead.

She doesn't really want to take revenge, she's not Princess Irie.

She wants to see Ren, her parents, her bedroom, her novels, her drawings.

She wants to go back so bad.

Everyone looks at the Princess with amazement.

"Oh how I love how the sun lays upon us

Staining the inches of skin

Oh says the clouds as they whisper above us

Oh what a life it's been,"

She began singing.

People suddenly notices the sunlight as it disappears completely and as it leaves the clouds.

They felt calm with her voice.

Prince Tris looks at her, shocked, 'Her voice... It can't be, she doesn't look like her. No, that's impossible," he thought while watching her sing beautifully.

"And all of the lies we've lied

And all of the time that's timed our lives

How do we know what's wrong or right this time,"

Princess Irie thought of the North Kingdom.

She's not even sure if what she's doing is right.

To take revenge.

To destroy a kingdom.

She's not the real Princess, even if she has her memory, she's still someone who doesn't need to meddle with the conflict.

"We may not have missed this time

But then when they all run dry

And that beautiful light that lights our eyes is gone

What have we done?"

The people sway with her guitar's song.

Her voice made the people close their eyes and feel the song.

Everything went dark as the night crawls and joins them.

The lights glimmer as the snow starts to fall, everyone stared and smiled silently as they watch it fall down.

"When all of the tears from her eyes have collected

Form in the skies and leave us unprotected

I can't fathom why we say goodnight

When we mean to say goodbye"

The King smiles as he listens to her voice and tries to catch a snowflake.

But Prince Tris suddenly felt his chest ache.

'Something's going to disappear,' he thought.

Everyone cheers and claps as the Princess bows down.

She looks at Bea, she's almost tearing up but she still smiled at the Princess.

Then to the King who's smiling at her.

And the Prince.

He looks afraid, he looks as if he's going to jump at her any moment.

'Is my voice that horrible?' she thought while going down, the Prince ran to her and hugs her.

Everyone was shocked but most felt warm, "He must be touched by the Princess' voice," people whispers.

Vioneere covers his mouth in disbelief of such dirty act from the Prince but the King just smiles as he watches the next batch of performers stand on the stage.

"Why do I feel like this is the last time I will see you?" The Prince whispers in her ear while he hugs her tighter.

Princess Irie froze, she heard those words before.

'Ren?' she thought.

"Are you going somewhere?" He asks while kissing her head.

Her chest tightens then she suddenly can't breathe.

She can't move.

She can't speak.

But she felt pain in her chest.

It's as is she's being stabbed.

She can feel it.

The cold blade.

Her warm blood.

Her vision went blurry then everything went dark.

"You're unlucky to be a Samuel. You're pretty."

A voice said.

She saw the same man who stabbed her.

She felt shivers but suddenly her body moved on its own.

Everything that happened... moves backward.

He moves back to her and then her stabs disappear as his blade moves backward... until she was in front of Ren again.

His back is facing her.

She wants to run to him and hug him tight but she can't move.

It just keeps on moving backward.

"In 8:15 you should be home, I'll expect a call," he said then turns around.

He checks his watch and smiles at her.

'Ren, oh my... Ren... Ren...' she thought.

She feels like crying but her body can't.

She's dying to hug him.

"No, I'll go then. Your exam will start, good luck!"

He said then everything moved fast.

Fast that she has to close her eyes.

'I'm on my way to the university holding my coffee...' she thought then she went backward again.

"Be sure to tell this to your dad, Irie," Jade said with a smile on his face.

'Oh, I forgot. We did meet each other at that time. But since I feel cold while we were talking, I can't focus and even forgot about this sick cousin of mine,' she thought.

'We were talking about the company this time, that I will give it to him.'

She just stares at her cousin, 'I can't do anything with you, I'm already dead. But I hope Dad will know.'

But suddenly, Jade didn't move backward, he stared at Irie, eye to eye.

Soul to soul.

He looks at her as if he knows she's stuck inside watching her life.

"My, so it's you... I wonder who are you in that world? Are you a knight? From West? East? Where, cousin?" Jade's eye suddenly turned red.

Irie wants to scream but she can't move.

She's screaming internally.

'What is happening?' she thought.

Then she saw his notebook widely open which says: "King Nephlie."

She froze, 'The King didn't die. There was nothing about what happened with him,' she thought.

And as she stares deeply into his eyes, everything went dark and cold.

"Are you going somewhere?"

She heard someone say and she opened her eyes, she's back.

Prince Tris is hugging her.

"No... I'm not going somewhere," she answered while slowly pushing the Prince away.

'What happened?' she thought while returning to her seat.

Prince Tris looks at her, 'You... why were you crying?'

While the Prince was asking her where she is going, she suddenly let out a sob but then she stops.

'What is happening?' they both ask themselves.

Prince Tris is staring at the Princess while she lowers her head to hide her crying face and trembling lips.

She's scared.

She's lost.

She's confused.

She wants to go back again to see Ren.

But when she took a glance at Prince Tris, while he's standing under the shadows, his silver hair as black as the dark night, he looks like Ren.

'This can't be,' she thought then lowered her head.

'He can't be!' she bites her lips, 'Why is he here? And is he the same Ren from this world?'
