Chapter 2: Will accept or rebel?
Amara left for school in a haste. She didn't even know how to feel about all this. 'What should she feel?' she thought. It was all like a movie. When she watched 'The princess diaries' yesterday, she thought it would be cool to be a princess but she didn't actually mean it!!
Her mom was quite shocked about things too. Jaehyun and Chunhwa married because they loved each other. They had Amara. Amara wasn't really a Korean name but Amara meant grace, beauty, love, selflessness, bravery..... They couldn't have found a better name for her.
But Jaehyun left them when Amara was just two years old. He loved them both a lot, more than his life. But he had something important to do and they had to sacrifice.
She didn't even know what had happened to him in that time. She only had a glimpse now of what could have been a part of his life.
*clatter*
The door clattered as Amara entered the school. Before she made her way to the staffroom, A guy with red hair and mahogany eyes came rushing to her. His name was Jimin. He was the Chemistry teacher.
"Amara! Come here fast." He said.
"What is it?"
Jimin basically dragged Amara by the hand to the staffroom.
When they entered the staffroom, they saw everyone looking at the TV in the corner of the room. They were watching global news.
"Hey, why are you guys even watching this still? It's not something important now is it?" Amara asked nervously. 'Could they have discovered the truth?'
"Yes, it may be. It is being said that the girl could be from Korea." A guy with inky hair and eyes and ghost-skin said. He was Suga, the music teacher.
"What? Really?"
Jimin sat in his seat.
Namjoon gestured for Amara to come close. When she did, he gestured for her to bend down a little.
"This girl is not you right, Amara?" he whispered in her ear.
Amara laughed nervously. "H-How could it be me?"
"I came here earlier than them. And I saw in the news that the girl's name is Amara Kim. Of course, there may be another Amara Kim so I was just wondering if it was you." he said with a slight edge in his tone.
"Well, it isn't me!" She said nervously.
Amara was a unique name so she wondered if Namjoon hadn't figured it out already. It was eerie how perceptive the guy could be.
Namjoon Kim was the English teacher. He had ash brown hair and ebony eyes.
"Hey!! look! look! He is on a helicopter!! he is going to meet her now!!!" Jimin exclaimed.
"What?!" Amara said.
Namjoon smirked and turned back to look at the television.
Amara didn't know what she should do. It was all very unrealistic to her. She finally came to realise how serious this agreement was when she saw the helicopter on the television. She never thought it could happen to her. She didn't want to have an arranged marriage. She wanted to marry someone she loved. She did want to do that but somehow she had the feeling that the betrothal was very important.
She exited the classroom and unconsciously walked in the direction of the infirmary.
Jin had just exited the infirmary and was going to the staffroom. He stayed in the staffroom most of the time with his friends.
Amara met Jin in the hallway.
"Hey Amara, how're you doing?" Jin asked.
"What happened? why do you look so tense?" Jin said worriedly, noticing her uneasiness.
"Amara." Namjoon said coming up behind her.
"They stopped the broadcast so nobody knows where the helicopter's going."
Amara felt a little relieved. 'Wait... they will know it anyway when the helicopter comes here!' She thought. 'But at least not everyone watching the news will know that.'
"What? What news are you talking about?" Jin asked.
*chakk-chackk-chak-chak*
The sound of a helicopter could be heard. Amara was nervous, Namjoon was expressionless and Jin was confused.
Namjoon started walking towards the gate, Jin and Amara followed.
'I have to face it. It is unexpected but I can't just run away from this. I bet Jungkook doesn't want to marry me either. He is just being forced by the circumstances. We'll find a way to get out of this. There is nothing to worry about.' She thought while making her way towards the ascending helicopter sound.
When they opened the door and looked towards the source of the noise, they saw a charcoal black matte helicopter in the sky getting ready to land in the school grounds. There was a Mercedes Benz symbol on it. Amara didn't know much about helicopters but she could see that it was expensive.
"What is happening?" Jin asked. "Can you just tell me already? you were talking about some helicopter right? is this the one?"
"You can ask Amara." Namjoon said.
"Amara? Do you know what's happening?" Jin asked.
"Um..."
The helicopter had landed.
*Chack*
The door opened. Down descended a guy with blue hair and murky eyes. He was not Jungkook.
'Who is this guy? Is he Jungkook? He looks really different than he looked in the picture.' Amara thought.
The blue haired guy held the door open for someone.
'Oh. He isn't the one.'
The guy who descended this time looked very much like the picture. Amara was unconsciously staring at him. He looked adorable to her.
Jungkook noticed her looking at him and their eyes met. She forgot all about her nervousness and the tenseness dissipated from her body when she looked into those sparkling onyx eyes.
Amara didn't herself know why she was feeling this way.
Jungkook showed her a dazzling smile. She smiled back. He started walking towards her.
"Who is this guy?" Jin asked.
"Why don't you ever watch the news? Stop asking now. You'll know in some time." Namjoon said.
Jungkook stood in front of Amara. He took her hand and kissed it.
"Hello Amara."
