Chapter 3: The Infamous Group- BTS!
As Namjoon dragged Taehee up the stairs, he felt something he won't ever be able to describe verbally. It was the first time he ever held someone and they weren't breaking away from his touch. The person wasn't hating him. And him being a vampire and Taehee being a human didn't intensify the affect.
"I'm sure I can walk by myself. Please kindly let go.", Taehee started to slither her hand out of Namjoon's.
"Oh. Yes. I'm sorry.", Namjoon said with a slight smile. He was satisfied. Satisfied with himself. Finally, someone he would be able to touch. He always wanted a friend he could hug anytime. A shoulder to put his head on and lend his shoulder to someone. But that's his hidden side. Being a leader, he had a lot of feelings and things he had to hide to ensure the security and privacy of their group.
Taehee walked behind Namjoon. She didn't protest because she knew she would get involved with something unwanted sooner or later. And besides, he looked confused and shocked. She was curious to why he suddenly dragged her like that. And she wasn't scared of Namjoon or anyone. She could take on anyone. And that is exactly what she's scared of.
Namjoon pushed opened the door to the roof.
"Come in. Slowly. Behind me."
Taehee nodded.
"Yoongi Hyung, I found someone.", Namjoon called someone.
A figure with ash brown hair, pale skin and notably beautiful hands appeared before Namjoon in inhuman speed. He was pale. Even more than vampires were supposed to be. Perhaps it was because he didn't come into the sun as much as other vampires.
Walking under the sun for vampires is dangerous. The rays can set fire to their whole body, destroying them in seconds. However, this could be avoided by stronger vampires. Vampires who became stronger by drinking human blood(which is now forbidden), or some spells from the warlocks and witches, but most importantly, vampires with strong or pure bloodline. They're born powerful.
As much bad as it sounds, animal blood is harvested for vampires. The animals grow up in farms happily and are fed adequately. And then every month, a specific amount of blood is taken from them. The amount is little, so it doesn't harm them. Somewhat like a blood donation.
Taehee soon saw five more vampires appearing beside the pale boy with beautiful hands.
"Hyung, who is this?"
"Can we play with her?"
"Is this when you let go of your best friend and let him become another's?", a tall boy with majestic features and broad shoulders cried dramatically. He was so handsome that even Taehee's grandfather- The king fell short.
"Quiet down. I've something important to tell you all.", Namjoon said. And suddenly all of them became serious. Leader after all.
"I touched her. Nothing happened."
"What do you mean?", this time the boy with a pale face and beautiful hands asked.
"Yoongi, I'm serious. She didn't feel it."
"What ability does she have? Is she only immune to you or everyone?"
"I wonder the same, Jin. Can you try yours on her?", Namjoon whispered in his ear.
All of a sudden, Taehee was pushed towards the wall, but a hand caught her back before she could hurt because of the impact. The guy with broad shoulders was staring right into her eyes, leaning in, to kiss her.
That's when Taehee knew that she's had enough. She pushed the man away with force and looked at him menacingly.
"Do that again and I'll feed you to werewolves.", Taehee spat.
Just as she was about to leave, Namjoon held her back and explained the whole situation hurriedly.
By then Taehee could grasp on the story.
They were those legendary vampires with abilities and their abilities could only trigger themselves with touch. And that's why Namjoon held her hand back then and this weird guy made a move on her.
"The guy who you just pushed is Kim Seokjin. You can call him Jin."
"The pale and bored guy standing there is Min Yoongi."
"Hey! I'm Jimin. Park Jimin. Are you the new student? Did Joon Hyung already show you around? I wanted to do it.", a boy with soft blonde hair, puffy cheeks and plump pink lips said playfully. His eyes formed a moon when he smiled. Giving off a gentle yet playful vibe.
"Shut up, Jimin. Oh my God, my heart. Stop doing that every time. By the way, I'm your hope, I'm your angel. Jung Hoseok."
"I thought you were about to say that embarrassing nickname of yours.", a fairly tall boy with distinctive brown eyes, brown hair and what? Timberlands with school uniform?
"I'm Jeon Jungkook and since you're the first girl Joon hyung ever brought, we'll take care of you.", the boy said with a playful salute.
"What exactly is your ability that you can't feel anything when we touched you?", Jin asked.
"I don't have one. It's just the ring my grandmother gave me. She had ability nullifying ability."
"Now I get it! But.. wait. The only one with that ability was the human queen. But she died a few years back.", Hoseok said intelligently.
"Did you say grandmother? Taehee? You're Im Taehee? Princess Taehee? Heir to the throne?", Namjoon now understood the depth of what she meant before when he asked why she was so polite. Of course, she'd be polite, she's a princess!
But that didn't mean they were below her. They were all from the royal families of the vampire community. And that's what made others scared of their group.
"Our group is called BTS, by the way. It's just us. The seven of us."
"Seven?", Taehee raised her eyebrow.
"Introduce yourself, party pooper!"
"Taehyung. Kim Taehyung."
A boy with ethereal beauty spoke. Before Taehee didn't notice him because of the overwhelming introductions from the group, but now as she saw him, she could help but praise him in her mind.
Taehee's always been someone who appreciates beautiful things.
Sharp nose, perfect lips, porcelain skin and sad eyes. The boy had raven hair just like her. The school shirt hung loosely on his body as if even it was shy of touching him.
"I'm leaving."
Taehyung left without taking a second look at Taehee. Taehee wasn't offended at all. Just because she appreciated beautiful things that didn't mean she'd go out of her way to possess them all. Just like the moon.
Taehyung was just someone who she felt was beautiful. She didn't take this into her mind.
"Don't mind him. He's always like that.", Jimin laughed.
"Since we already introduced ourselves, how about you join us? BTS? There isn't any other group who'll accept you. And we.. well. We all like you.", Namjoon smiled weakly.
"Yes! We like you!", Jungkook, Jimin and Hoseok said in unison.
Jin and Yoongi just smiled in approval.
"I don't want to get involved in anything too tiring. I just want to be alone and finish school quietly.", Taehee said honestly without sounding rude.
"We're not forcing you, but think about it."
