Chapter 1: Prologue
As the sun sets, the wind blows through the hair of the little girl, standing near the edge. Just gazing at the magnificent view of the never ending oceans of grass. Seeing this puts a smile on her face, seeing such a peaceful sight makes her wish that there is no more wars, no more fighting, just living and co-existing in this world in peace.
She breathes in, and lets out a giggle. And looked again at the sunset.
"Still daydreaming kid?", said the man, arms crossed with a smirk on his face. The little girl turned around,
"Just enjoying the view Roger, look at it, it's so beautiful! hehe"
"Yes, it is beautiful, c'mon kid training is over, go home, your grandparents will be woried about you"
"Wait Roger, You will protect the village right? You won't leave the village right? You will be with me right? You won't leave me right? Roger?"
"Woah woah, slow down kid"
"Ok ok, just promise me this Roger"
"What?" Roger looked in confusion.
"When I become stronger, you and I will be partners and hunt wolves together and bring peace to the world!"
Roger looked at her, quite hesitant then smiled, "Okay kid, we'll be partners, I promise, now go home"
"Bye Roger! I'll see you next training!", the little girl waved goodbye and quickly ran home.
As the little girl went home, Roger glanced at the sunset, he whispered, "There will be no next training, I need to keep you safe, I need to leave this village for the safety of the people. I'm very sure that you will be strong kid, we will be partners and bring peace, but for now I have to leave you. I'm sorry....Ruby.."
Tears went down his face, clenching his fist. He proceeded to get his gun and his bag and leave the village.
The next morning, Ruby woked up with a grin on her face. Thinking about the training later, she greets her grandparents and eat her breakfast. She set out to see Roger.
"Really? Is that true?"
Ruby looked at the villagers talking but she continued to walk.
"Why did he leave the village?"
"I don't know, maybe something happened"
"Maybe a fairy ordered him to leave the village!"
"Oh don't be ridiculous, maybe there is a reason why he left"
Ruby can't help but hear over and over again that someone left the village and no one knows why. She couldn't stand it anymore, she asked the villagers about who are they talking about.
"Um, excuse me but I keep hearing about someone left the village, can you tell me who left the village?"
"Oh it's Roger"
"E-excuse me but what is the name again?"
"Roger, it's Roger"
Ruby couldn't believe of what she heard.
"Man, I thought he was going to stay here and protect the village, he left so quickly, he left his home," the villager said.
Ruby ran as fast as she could, crying, she doesn't know what to think anymore, knowing that Roger left the village and his home. Unexpectedly, Ruby tripped on a rock and fell down. Crying in pain, Ruby went to a tree and sat under the shade.
"I thought we will be partners, you promised me that."
Tears flooding down her face and continued to sit under the tree.
