Chapter 13: Lei Qingshan Was Zhang Wei
The venue was a five star hotel named Shangri La Hotel. From their house to the hotel, it would approximately take 2 hours. Liu Rushi sat in the front seat playing with her hands while Lei Qingshan was driving.
"Will your lover come?" Lei Qingshan asked Liu Rushi about her so called boyfriend.
"Why do you have to ask it out of the blue?" Liu Rushi looked at him with an angry face.
"It's not out of the blue. We wore the same clothes, and it gave me some curiosity."
Lei Qingshan looked at Liu Rushi for a second and then looked back on the road.
Liu Rushi slapped her hand lightly on Lei Qingshan's shoulder and annoyingly said him. "Cut it off, Zhang Wei. How many times are you going to pretend that it is Lei Qingshan and not you? Everyone will get to know it, that you both are the same, why don't you just cut the crap and behave who you are?"
She then took a deep breath and continued "Just be who you are, Zhang Wei. We people cannot be like someone who are from the rich family, okay? And besides, I don't want to marry a person who is from a rich background, so just behave like who you are and not the one whom I don't like, please?"
Even though, Liu Rushi was also rich, Lei Qingshan was more richer than her. He was the richest man in the whole Beijing.
The car came to a sudden halt as Lei Qingshan pressed on the brakes. His body jerked a little towards the front and then came back to his seat. Holding the steering wheel in his hand tightly, he looked at Liu Rushi.
Anger was seen from his eyes.
"What's wrong with you, Zhang Wei. Why did you stop the car so suddenly??" Liu Rushi asked looking at him annoyingly.
"We haven't even reached..."
"Get out!" Before Liu Rushi could say anything, Lei Qingshan who had lost his temper, ordered Liu Rushi to get out of the car.
Dumbfounded, Liu Rushi sat in the car looking at him and trying to understand as to what he said.
Seeing Liu Rushi not willing to move, Lei Qingshan took a deep breath and unfastened his seatbelt. He opened his car door and angrily walked towards her and opened her door.
With that, he again said angrily "GET OUT!!"
Liu Rushi jumped on hearing him yell and asked in a low voice "What's wrong?? Why do I have to..."
"JUST F**ING GET OUT OF THE DAMN CAR!!" Before she could complete her sentence, he again yelled at her.
And this time, Liu Rushi got out of the car, more frightened and surprised than ever. She didn't even look at him and kept her head lowered down.
Seeing this, he caught her face with his hand and pulled it up. He tightly held her face and asked "Can't you not stay quiet for a while?"
Liu Rushi squealed in pain and beat on his hand to make him let her face go. "It...hwurts!!! Leave me... Ouch!!" She beats on his hand and after pressing it a little more harder, he let her go.
Liu Rushi rubbed her face and tears start welling up in her eyes due to pain. She looked at the man who hurt her and tried to suppress her tears.
She felt some water droplets falling on her head and her back, so she looked up. The droplets of rain fall on her face as she looked at the big empty sky.
Seeing it to be raining, she again opened her mouth to speak "Let's go, or else we will be late."
"Why can't you not be quiet for a damn while?" Lei Qingshan raised his hand to slap her, but stops mid-way.
Liu Rushi's heart started to beat rapidly, when she saw him lifting his hand to hit her. She brought her hands to her ears and closed her eyes to feel less pain of being slapped.
Feeling nothing, she opened her eyes only to see Lei Qingshan crying. Even though, it was raining, she could clearly see that he was crying. She saw how the tears escaped his eyes, how they ran through his cheeks, and how they fell down after reaching the chin.
She felt bad seeing him cry. She tried to walk towards him but was stopped by him "Don't come near me. I don't want you beside me."
She halted in her place and looked at the man crying.
As the rain grew heavier, both of them stood looking at one another, crying, not saying a word. The clothes hugged their bodies and they became completely wet due to the rain.
After some time, Lei Qingshan wiped his tears and yelled looking up at the sky. "Why did you had to do this to me? I don't know why I fell for a woman like this? I don't know what I saw in her that I fell for her and came all the way till here searching for her? I don't know why did I go to her parents house to ask for her? I don't know why I made myself crazy for her, crazy enough to disguise myself as a lowly shop owner only to win her heart?
I don't know why did I even trusted you? Now look what you made me go through... People say that the Almighty listens to each and everyone, then why did you not listen to me? Why did you make me entangle with a woman who would never accept me? Why? Why?" He squatted down crying loudly.
Liu Rushi heard all that what he told and realized that the person whom she had loved all this while was Lei Qingshan, not Zhang Wei. Zhang Wei was just a person whom he had become to win her heart.
Liu Rushi had thought it the other way around. She thought it was Zhang Wei who was pretending as Lei Qingshan so that he could win her heart.
She looked at him crying loudly while squatting down. She felt guilty of what she said or did to him before. She had also gone through this kind of experience, so she understood what it was to be rejected by someone whom you love deeply than anything.
She thought of saying something to him, but before she could say anything, Lei Qingshan got up.
He looked at Liu Rushi with anger in his eyes.
