Chapter 2: Second.
Third Person
The next day, Kimmy, together with her new companion, Claude, walked away from the forest, and headed straight to town far from the castle. Kimmy knows that they have to be careful, as she is still hunted down by her father's men and so is Claude, who stole from her father.
They went to a shop that sells machinery and such, and since only Kimmy knows the materials and tools used, she picked out the items and Claude cosuld only pay for it. The three, including Dexter, who was clinging onto Claude's leg, spent the day buying from shop to shop. And if the ones that they want were expensive, they'd steal them instead. This gave ideas to Kimmy since Claude was still teaching her the basics. Kimmy did steal things she wanted, such as laboratory apparatuses that she will need in fixing her weapons. In the end, they had fun, except when they had to outrun the nearby guards near the fruit stand when Dexter stole bananas from it.
Kimmy and Claude decided to stay in a nearby hotel. But they had to share it, since there was only a room left as said by the person in charge. As soon as they got the key, they made their way to their designated destination. They both started to fix themselves. Kimmy brought out her broken weapons and the things that they had bought and stole from town.
Claude laid on the bed and started rolling on it, and stopped when he had a nice view of Kimmy fixing her weapons.
"Say, runaway princess, you never told me why you ran away from your home." Claude placed his hand on his chin, waiting for her answer.
Kimmy never left her attention to her jetpack, but she answered his question. "Well, if you were forced to marry someone who you never knew, and be restricted from the things that you want to do, won't you do the same?"
"If its being restricted, I don't know, maybe because I never felt what its like. I mean, I'm a criminal, a thief. I do whatever I want. But if its marrying, I'd agree to it, if the person I'm marrying is you." He said teasingly, and stared at her, waiting for her reaction. And what he got was a face full of redness, Kimmy halted her actions but continued anyway.
"Haha, funny. But to me, its not. I'm being forced to marry a prince from another kingdom. Ever heard of the brothers Vale and Valir?"
