Chapter 5: Fifth.
Third Person
It has been a few days since that night, Kimmy and Claude had gotten closer. They found a place to stay in the Land of Dawn after announcing that they are in a relationship.
"Kimmy, would you mind helping me carrying these bags to my house? It's not that far," Kimmy snapped out of her train of thoughts when her new friend, Guinevere, spoke to her.
"Ah, yes, sure!" She took half of the bags and helped the girl carry them to her house.
While walking on their way there, they talked about random stuff, including Kimmy's relationship with Claude. Kimmy only blushed as Guinevere teased her, she then changed the topic to Guinevere herself.
"Well, don't you have your man?" Kimmy asked.
"Nope, brother will get angry. But I do have my eyes for someone... But he won't even notice me, like not once." Guinevere looked down, Kimmy then tried to cheer her up. They arrived at Guinevere's house, it was a normal one, as Kimmy recalled, Guinevere and her brother, Lancelot, also escaped their duties to rule over their kingdom, just like Kimmy herself.
"Take a seat, I'll get us something to drink." Guinevere said. Kimmy did what she was told, but couldn't stop staring at a certain picture frame not far from where she was sitting.
A photo of Guinevere when she was a child, and beside her was a kid that looked like a male, but it had long hair in a ponytail. He was holding a spear while his other hand rested on Guinevere's shoulder.
"Oh, so he's the one you were talking about?!" Kimmy squealed from exitement.
"Yes, his name is Zilong, we have been friends when we were kids, but now we just... don't talk. Or even make eye contact. We're just strangers now." She looked down on her feet. "Plus, he already got himself a lover." Guinevere continued.
Kimmy gasped from what she heard.
"Anyways, isn't it getting late? Claude might be looking for you already." Guinevere continued talking and walked towards the ddoor leading Kimmy towards it.
"Yeah, thanks for having me here. Hey, if you need any help, I'm here okay?" Kimmy gave her a reassuring smile.
Guinevere only nodded, and Kimmy walked away from her house.
"Kimmy, there you are! Where were you!" Claude asked as soon as she saw her.
"I helped Guine with her bags, stop being paranoid." Kimmy said jokingly.
They headed back to their house, it was small but comfortable. They rented it for a cheap price, but it was good since they were only starting.
Few months passed, Kimmy has mastered the art of thievery, with all the help from Claude. They went outside of the Land of Dawn, they started stealing not only from shops, but to castles. One time, they thought of going back to Kimmy's home to steal and to check up on things. But Claude thought it was still to early, he said that they might get caught, but somehow, Kimmy was able to convince him.
"If anything happens, remember that I love you so much." Claude whispered. They were currently hiding under the stairs that Kimmy knows that isn't used much.
"Stop being a baby and figure out a plan! And yes, I love you too." Kimmy replied, which made Claude smile.
"I want to check up on mother, so please stay in my room. That isn't used that much so it'll be easy for us to hide in there." Kimmy said, swiftly moving and running towards her mother's room. Claude had no choice but to obey.
Kimmy found out that her mother isn't in her room, so she checked the throne room, not minding the risks. Claude stayed in her room, waiting for Kimmy. He prayed to the Gods and Goddesses for nothing bad to happen to her precious girl, but because of impatience, he went out and looked for her.
Kimmy went inside the room with three chairs that was made of gold that could take attention from the person who walks in. Kimmy jumped in surprise when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"Fancy seeing you here, future wife."
