Chapter 5: Chapter 5
The week past by so fast I barely noticed. I packed some clothes, snacks, my phone, charger, flashlight, batteries, and all my drawings and materials. I put all of this in two duffel bags.
"Here is a drawing journal and some colored pencils for the ride to your ride to school. Don't worry, I made arrangements for Max and Sabrina to go there as well. I told the school you guys were transferring to another school. On the way there you might want to draw some creatures if you need to use your powers for protection." She said.
"How did you convince Max and Sabrina's parents to transfer them?" I asked.
"I asked someone I know who can manipulate memories, and don't worry he
did not change Max or Sabrina's memories." She said quickly looking at my worried face.
"Thank you Aunt Cassandra for all your help and support." I said.
"Your welcome Pierce." Aunt Cassandra said.
"Bye Aunt Cassandra." I said.
I turned to leave for the park when I heard my name being called out. A girl I did not recognize came running up.
"Hey pierce, been a while." The girl said while panting to keep up with me.
"Uhh, who are you exactly?" I asked as politely as I can while trying to
remember if I knew a girl as beautiful as her.
"Do you really not remember me? That makes me kind of sad." She said with
a pouty face.
"I'm sorry really don't remember you." I say as apologetic as I can.
"Well my name is Diamond Grander but I like to go by Jade, my habits are
rock collecting, and I have been an orphan at the age of five." I said. Now that I think about it I can vaguely remember a girl with that background. And then it hit me.
"Are out really Jade? My friend from when I was seven! I'm sorry I didn't
recognize you. Maybe it's because you look so much different." I exclaimed with excitement. I mean she does look totally different. She now has dark blue hair(dyed), but it's short,brown eyes, about my height, and she was wearing khaki pants, a red quick dry long sleeve shirt, and green shoes.
"Yes I am. I am the one and only, Jade Grander. How ya doin? I'm going to
Mashi Academy for the Gifted." Jade says but was interrupted by Aunt Cassandra.
"Shush, don't talk about that in the open it's only known from certain people.
Well you better get going or else your be late." Aunt Cassandra said.
"Okay, bye Aunt Cassandra. See you during breaks." I yelled as I was running with Jade.
We start running to the park to meet Max and Sabrina.
