Chapter 23: First Guard
"Can I ask now?" Taehyung asked.
"Hm." I responded nonchalantly.
"Who exactly is this man?"
"Ah right I should explain this is Haechi." I gestured. "I'm sure you've seen those statues of lions with horns at the entrance, well that is him, he guards this palace and prevents disasters. I'm sure you've heard of him in myths."
Namjoon coughed accidentally swallowing tea through the wrong pipe.
Hoseok had his mouth open stunned dripping tea from his mouth.
Everyone else just had their mouth wide open in shock.
"Ok first things first we need to get you new clothes, wearing ancient robes will draw way too much attention."
We arrived at the shopping district. First things first we needed clothes fit for a bodyguard. We entered a store for suits.
Haechi was still dressed in ancient clothes and the employees whispered and stared.
I ignored it and calculated that it would be better to just buy the suits in bulk since there will be six more guards.
I tried to remember all of their sizes to fit.
I pushed Haechi towards the dressing room. He went to put on a classic black suit with white dress shirt and black tie.
The guys were still in shock from finding out that a Korean myth is real.
"Guys you are really going to need to get used to it considering how I have to pick up seven more guards."
The guys wide eyed at me.
"Its just hard to wrap our heads around." says Namjoon.
I patted him on the back in reassurance.
"It'll be fine."
"Hey Eunmi I'm not sure how to wear these clothes can I get a hand." Haechi asked from the changing room.
"Can one of you guys show him how to wear the suit?" I asked.
Everyone whispered between then and then Jungkook and Jimin shoved Namjoon forward.
I waved my arm towards the dressing room.
Namjoon slowly walked forward and he entered.
