Chapter 51: Chapter 51: Ultimate age of ultron
"Before I followed you to the other dimensions and engaging in combat with you, I cast a spell that turned ineffective on Superman... I can still feel my lingering magic on him, it's my magic, my as in this universes Dr strange." Dr strange explained to Doom making everyone look at him weirdly.
Seeing how Superman was waiting for answers Dr. strange continued.
"After I left you, we went into another dimension and fought, in the end we returned to earth were we fought." Dr strange said as he turned his head towards Doom, looking at him with blame.
"He used a magic spell, that worked somewhat like a magic emp, effecting all electricity om earth. Resulting in Ultron changing his personality. We didn't know it at the time. After our fight, I returned to find you, but instead, I found a universe that was imploding on itself." Dr strange explained what had happened.
"We made the calculations, no one could survive that. After a few months Shield realised that thousands of industrial factories had started to create robots, and that the internet had been corrupted by something. By that time it was to late. Ultron had taken over." Suddenly Bruce Banner also appeared.
"We fought hard, but the internet and all electronic devices were completely taken over by Ultron. We gained a few new allies and lost a few." Black widow said as she looked at Elena.
"Even the mightiest of beings couldn't survive a big bang like implosion, so you must have died. So that leaves us with the question, how did you survive, Kevin?" Dr Strange asked, surprising Superman that he knew his name.
Looking around he saw that no one was surprised.
Elena took of her mask. Superman saw that she looked slightly more mature.
"After you were prounanced dead, we held a funeral for you a few months after, hoping for some miracle to happen. In the end you didn't return, so we wanted to make the world know, who their hero was. On the day of the funeral, we, the Collins family stood Infront of everyone and told everyone of your selfless deeds." Elena explained with tears coming down her eyes.
"I would have never expected Superman to be the world renowned C.K Rolling." Sue, chopped in with teary eyes herself.
"But your funeral seemed to have started Ultron's plans for a take over. He put forth a new set of laws, and stated that anyone that did not follow the laws would be punished harshly." Black widow spoke.
"This information was posted on every device on earth, and at first everyone thought it was a new virus, but suddenly the streets started becoming filled with matching robots all over the world. They punished anyone breaking even the smallest of his laws, such as staying outside of the allowed hours." Elena explained further.
"What did the avengers do?" Superman asked.
"We tried fighting back, but they were to many. In the end we lost miserably and Ultron took over the world. We try to save as many as possible but it's a futile fight." Black widow said.
"The kid you saw us protecting, ran outdoors during forbidden hours, and Ultron was just about to..." Johnny stopped himself from speaking more as the child was still in the vicinity.
"Forbidden hours? it's still midday? And what about the child's parents?" Superman felt his anger raising as he heard everything.
"They noticed us taking the child, and it's for the best, if we give the child back, Ultron will find them and punish them. Were only allowed outside under a few certain hours to buy necessaries." Dr strange said.
"None of that matters, how could this be our Superman?" Doom said trying to get back on topic.
"As I've said, I can still feel my lingering magic on him." Dr strange said.
"So what, another universes Superman might have" Doom tried to reason but was cut off by Dr strange.
"I looked into trillions of universes, and I couldn't find a single one, were Superman existed except for this one." Dr strange said, looking towards Superman in puzzlement.
"You are unique, not to say that there aren't other universes with you in them, but it seems to be highly... unusual." Dr. Strange said as he looked at Superman.
Everyone was surprised once again.
"What happened, how did you survive that." Doom asked, yielding to the fact that this might really be their Superman.
"After I was left alone I waited for a while, seeing as no one came back I felt the situation urgent, so I tried to force my way through the dimensions." Superman said.
"That's Impossible, to force your way through the dimension you would need enough power to..." Bruce Banner said, looking up with his eyes, calculating something.
"ENOUGH FORCE THE CREATE A NEW BIG BANG!" He suddenly shouted in surprise as he calculated the huge numbers in his head in seconds.
Suddenly, Doom, Dr. strange, Reed and Bruce Banner all looked at Superman, in chock and amazement.
The others were confused, not really understanding. But these four did understand, what the implications of what Superman said meant. He was the reason that the universe in that dimension was falling apart.
"You're way stronger than I thought.... No that doesn't matter, this isn't good news. There are beings out there that won't be happy with you destroying a universe like that, even an empty one."
Dr. Strange said.
"The dimensions that we ran though are only mirror dimensions, empty without any living being in them, but even then they are as vast and real as this one. They are used for their energies, and countless are created every second by themselves. Bruce, fantastic four, all your powers are connected to specific universes, where you derive your abilities from, were lucky you only destroyed one Superman otherwise there are beings out there that won't be happy at all." Dr strange explained.
"About that... I think... I destroyed a bit more than one" Superman said, not really sure of the consequences.
"How many."
"A few per second, for a few.... many hours before I arrived here." Superman said, hoping that it wasn't so bad
"So anything between 10,000 to 100,000 universe, maybe more depending on how many per second." Bruce Banner calculated in his head.
Doom, Reed, Banner and Dr strange looked at Superman as if he was an alien.
The others also started to understand what was going on.
"That explains why my magic is still lingering on you, for us, it has been 2 years but for you, a few hours at most." Dr. Strange said as he put together last puzzle piece.
"How is that possible?" Elena said, both hopefully and in puzzlement.
"Space and time is one continuity, not one unity, at the same time, not separate entities. By destroying Spacetime, he jumped though many shattered dimensions. In fact, depending on how much force the dimensions shattered by, and in what direction he moved in, the amount of time he jumped though would vary greatly." Reed explained.
"English please." Daredevil said.
Everyone was curious and happy that the man of tomorrow had returned.
"He jumped through time, thousands of times, in different directions. Meaning he might have jumped a thousand years into the past though one dimension then 45 years into the future through another. Its a miracle that you only arrived 2 years after our last meeting." Dr. strange said.
"A miracle indeed, 0.000 000 000 000 000 000 003‰ to be precise!" Bruce banner calculated.
Superman felt relieved that he had arrived so close to the time he had left in.
Elena hugged him once again, tears still falling down.
Superman noticed that more and more people, both heroes and civilians started surrounding the areas as they noticed the commotion.
When they finally laid their eyes on him, they also started crying in relief, the last two years had been two years of hopelessness for humanity, but seeing Superman made them finally feel like there was a future.
