Chapter 1: To Help A Party

The morning sun ascended from its feet as the mists lit up marginally.

Despite that, Jack Lee opened his eyes in his chilly, pitch-black room. It was 6 in the first part of the day. His sight was as yet fluffy that he could return to rest, yet he continued scouring his eyes to stop that insufferable vision.

Jack gradually lifted his body from bed and stood up in an insecure movement. He strolled over to sit on his seat, confronting his desktop computer and turned it on. He gave a soft smile.

The PC screen flashed against his frail eyes while looking through the rundown of games on Stean and saw his #1 game, 'Age of Larena.'

This was a popular well-balanced MMORPG that came out 9 months ago. In a short measure of time, the game had just made it to eSports, where groups contend in the public association and win numerous prizes.

Jack tapped on the gaming symbol for the game and entered 'Age of Larena,' logging on and took a gaze at his character.

{Username: Moon Shadow}

{ID: 8472726861}

{Class: Assassin}

{Level: 102}

Moon Shadow wore long dark jeans, long dark coat with his left material of the arm destroyed, uncovering his left cumbersome lower arms. He had a fair complexion and dark hair with light blue eyes. He conveyed sharp dual blades with the top of a winged serpent connected under the handle of the weapons.

Jack was intrigued regarding how he overhauled this character in only 9 months with his subtleties being completely bewildering for an assassin at that level, placed in 425th in the best 500 players with the most gear power.

Jack tapped [Enter Game] with the sound of the right-click. The screen stacked in and took him to Wisteria College. The first thing he saw was the college building with fairy tale-like structures. He moved his mouse to the upper right corner to check the login rewards and earned over 100,000 coins.

"Finally," he said. "This is going to be helpful."

Thus, he continued and meandered around Wisteria College.

The structures were constructed like a stronghold, similar to a supernatural fantasy school. The NPC's remain on the solid, confronting the Fountain of Larena, which was the main point of the map. Wherever on the grounds, you would see trees and grass handle that stay in a little territory with shrubberies around them. Seats were put directly by them to sit on. You would likewise observe a lot of stronghold-like cafés, stores, and a cinema.

With the snap of his mouse, tapping and holding the screen to move the camera around, Jack looked wherever to discover the Dungeon Guider.

There he was, standing right next to an item exchange NPC.

Jack pointed to the Dungeon Guider and tapped on him, looking through the list of dungeons and see where he was at. This was the place where players typically grind some enhancement items, evolution items, coins, rare gears, proficiency, and EXP points for quite a long time because they can drop all rarities of the items.

"I'll see if I can get through 'Light Wells' in extreme mode this time." He said

Before entering the dungeon, he sensed players probably onto him. He left out of the Dungeon List and saw 2 players strolling by and took a gander at him in interest. He didn't have a clue what they need, but he knew it was something to do with partying up for a dungeon.

He proceeded to check their names over their head. The player in scruffy green robes was named Walking Dandelion, and the player in silver reinforcement with an immense blade was Wavering Green. Jack looked across their name and gazed at the insignia like symbol which indicated their class. Dandelion playes as a wizard while Green was a paladin.

The player in scruffy green robes, Walking Dandelion, sauntered towards him as Jack focused on his promising eyes. "Hey, you in that black coat," Dandelion pointed. "Want to team up with us?"

"Oh? Why should I?"

"We need a good assassin that will be helpful to us in this dungeon called Light Wells, but extreme mode," said Dandelion.

"I called it," Jack muttered. "I mean, I'm sure you two will be fine. This dungeon in extreme mode can be painful, but it shouldn't be that bad for both of you."

Wavering Green stepped before Walking Dandelion with a concerned look all over. "Actually, it was really bad. It was worse when an inexperienced assassin joined our team and kept getting our asses killed. It's like he doesn't know how to play!"

"Looking at you with that cool black coat," Walking Dandelion complimented. "You seem decent enough to take down that annoying final boss we had to deal with."

Jack gazed at the ceiling as he laid against the seat with his elbows bowed alongside his locked hands laying on the rear of his head.

Jack thought, "I'm not a very remarkable gathering player, but these folks truly seem as though they need assistance. Which means I'll do it!"

He inclined towards the PC and composed on the keyboard with his pair of deft hands. "Of course, I surmise I can!"

The party leader, Walking Dandelion, sent an invitation to join as Jack accepted it. They began entering 'Light Wells - Extreme Mode', with the screen loading in for the dungeon.

As Jack stood by persistently with his hands loose on the mouse and keyboard, he joined the dungeon with his teammates. The passage of the dungeon gave off an impression of being dim and void.

The three of them could hear the spine-chilling hints of the beasts flow from the dimness. It gave those startling film vibes. Yet, this was called 'Light' Wells, which made no sense.

"We've been in this dungeon for like 30 times and I still find this shit scary!" Walking Dandelion whined.

"Yeah, I know," Wavering Green admitted. "I feel you on that man."

Jack looked at his teammates and gave a soft smirk. "Really? How is it that scary when you've seen it so many times?" he teased.

"Shut up, we're just pussies!" Wavering Green implied.

As they stroll forward, the lights turned on, seeing charming flashes from a far distance.

In the room, shimmering monsters that were so-called 'Gleaming B'old' appeared.

{Monster Name: Gleaming B'old}

{Element: Light}

{Level: 90}

{HP: 78,235}

They were alligators built like small kobolds, however, they could deal a huge load of harm, which would make them entirely solid. Be that as it may, they were a lot more vulnerable on easy mode.

Their spots around their body shimmer as they ran at full speed towards them, ready for an attack.

Jack clicked on the Attack Button on-screen to activate combat mode, where he grabbed his dual swords out in his fighting stance, along with his teammates preparing for the fight.

5 Gleaming B'olds ran intently towards Jack with their mace. "Moon!" Dandelion yelled.

"It's okay, they're nothing to me. Well, hopefully," he said.

"Hopefully?!" Both Dandelion and Green screamed at the top of their lungs, fearing that they might have chosen the wrong player again.

However, Jack began making his moves where he spun in 180 degrees multiple times; in a fast movement holding his dual swords, cutting every one of them by their exposed skin as blood sprayed from them as they got discarded into the separation because of the measure of air he made by turning. This was an active skill called 'Spinning Bloodbath.'

{Skill Class: Assassin}

{Skill Name: Spinning Bloodbath}

{Skill Type: Active}

{Cooldown Time: 12 Seconds}

{Description: Ability Power 180x6. Spins 6 times, slashing enemies close to your area. Paralyzes the targets for 15 seconds and adds bleed effect [Inflicts 5,000 HP on the target for every 8 seconds] on them for 30 seconds.}

Their HP dropped to 0 as their moped body on the floor gradually blurred like a phantom with their orbs moving towards him, giving him few EXP points and some white quality items.

As of now, he understood how much he improved a ton in just a week since the last time he battled in this dungeon. He nearly kicked the bucket to a portion of the beasts toward the beginning, and now he just slaughtered them with one ability.

Walking Dandelion and Wavering Green were unsettled and stupefied, unobtrusively standing next to Jack's character, Moon Shadow, an assassin with incredible battle insight.

"That was so cool!" Wavering Green commented, while Walking Dandelion still stood there, astonished.

"Hehe." Jack chuckled.

As more Gleaming B'olds rushed towards his teammates, Wavering Green intentionally shook his head and looked roughly.

He leaped right at the monsters as his giant sword shined in blue light, demonstrating an active skill being thrown. He crushed his blade on the ground, breaking it, making a small pit.

The effect flew most monsters over until they landed. Be that as it may, the majority of them got up in light of the fact that he was still excessively powerless from slaughtering the beasts in a single blow. Their health points were still halfway from 0.

The skill he just used was also an active skill called 'Roaring Grounds.'

{Skill Class: Paladin}

{Skill Name: Roaring Grounds}

{Skill Type: Active}

{Cooldown Time: 12 Seconds}

{Description: Ability Power 160. Jumps up and lands down with the sword smashing the ground, destroying it to a slight crater. A strong force from the hit flies up the enemies to knock them down.}

Walking Dandelion projected 2 of his enchantment spells that cleared out the very beasts that Wavering Green assaulted as he also proceeded to fight them with his giant sword. They felt relieved and confident at this point for the outcome of this dungeon run.

"Thank you, man," Green said as he felt assisted.

"No problem!" Dandelion smiled.

"All right," Jack interrupted. "Let's keep on going. We can do this!"

"Hell yeah!"
