Chapter 1: Playing Hard to Get
On your heels, ambling confidently along the hall, you reached your brand new dorm. Closing the door behind you, you dropped yourself onto your mini couch. Perfect. This year at my new college is going to turn out perfect. No worries over my roommate because I won't have one! "WOOH!" You gulped down some champagne from a glass. Right then, the door opened. It looked like a lame office person was coming in..with a guy holding suitcases?! You immediately dropped the glass onto the table.
"Excuse me, miss, but apparently you will be after all receiving a roommate. This young man here, Kevin Woo, will be your lucky roommate. No rooms seem to be left with any space and you had the last vacant bed, please excuse me now and I hope you two will become friends!" The person shut the door with an innocent smile and left. Mind numb from shock, you peered at this so-called roommate of yours.
"Well, hey." The guy gave you a small smirk. "I'm Kevin Woo like you heard and I guess we'll become the best roommates ever." This time Kevin really smirked with the full thrown sarcasm. You stared at him with steel eyes and then it turned all into jell-O. He was so..yummy looking. Before you made a fool of yourself, you turned away.
"Make yourself feel at home." Your voice couldn't help but waiver a bit even when your tried to make it sound cold.
"Whatever." He didn't even give you a second glance. Beautiful figure, gorgeous, well-dressed. From the corners of your eyes, you looked at him. He unpacked his supplies and clothing and threw them neatly into his tiny closet. You, however, had finished unpacking and rearranging and so you just took off your heels and laid in bed.
Sigh. So much for a good looking roommate anyway. Sitting up in your bed, you went into the bathroom connected to the dorm. At least you had the bathroom to yourself. Sometimes, I wish things would just go my way..It's so unlikely though. Wishes never do come true.
~RAP,RAP~
You jumped. "Are you done in there? I need to use the bathroom!" You opened the door and saw a half-naked guy in front of you. Kevin? You averted your eyes at his bare but very muscular chest and abs and walked around him.
"Go ahead." You felt heat rising in your cheeks and so you let your hair fall down and cover your face.
"Thanks." As he closed the door, you felt a curious tingle inside. Creeping slowly to his bed, you looked into his closet. Nothing unusual:a couple of ties, shirts, jeans, boxers, and..what's this? You peeked into the closet a little closer and saw a tiny, almost hidden velvet box under his ties. Battling against against your conscience, you couldn't decide. On the brink of bursting, you closed the closet and acted as if nothing had happened when you heard approaching footsteps from the bathroom.
~Swoosh~
Steam escaped from the steamy room out and about him as he stepped out. Kevin headed straight for his bed. At least he's decent enough to have clothes on. He looked all fresh and clean with a pinch of pink on his cheeks from the hot shower.
"Kevin..do you want to go for some coffee right now?" Trying hard to be friendly, you nearly went for busting his head when he outright rejected you.
"Sorry, don't have the time." He hadn't even looked at you when he replied.
Silence.
Humph, he probably thinks he's too good to be seen with someone like me. We'll see about that! You downed your glass of champagne, determination fired in your eyes.
