Chapter 14: Good thing this is totally not not not filler
He slowly moved forward only a few feet from the great bear then right as he was only 5 feet from the bear he attacked. His first strike a full brunt stab to the head.
[10 Damage + 20 strength* 2 sneak attack *5 crit + 5% skill buff= 450 Damage: Enemy severely crippled]
As soon as the attack ended the bear instantly started bleeding all over the place as its brain was slightly pierced and its skull and body tried to deal with the immense damage. Of course our protagonist didn't just wait for the thing to orient itself to try one last desperate move. Before he could do that though a notification appears in front of him.

Well that was anticlimactic. Ashe stared at the deady body for a second in disbelief he eventually called the other two out from there hiding spot to help him set up a few places to lure in more kill.
After doing that they started setting up a more permanent camp about a kilometer from there traps. While his companions set up the tents and the like he started to FINALLY test out his skill that allowed him to make some novice devices.
First he grabbed up 11 long stick, some string from some water skins in his inventory, and some stones. Then he activated his building skill.

Again an animation started showing him constructing the bow and arrows. When it finally ended he had the arrows in one hand and the bow in another. After seeing that he wondered what else he could make so he went so his stats screen and looked to see if he could see a list.
He of course looked first at the skill novice machinery mastery first and clicked on it. Thankfully it brought up a list of things he could make.

He looked it over and understood that he would have to figure out what he could make by himself before it would show up on the creation list. While balanced wasn't much for him as he now had to spend hours figuring out things to make.
Of course he didn't allow this to stop him and spent the next few hour making anything he could think of like crossbows, spears, and even VERY crude and short prototype swords. Of course he also made some better arrows by adding on some of those feather things on the ends all he had to do to try and make them was to grab a few feathers from his inventory from the chickens and place three next to some arrows and bam he could make them.
Of course he failed the roles a few times and had to re-roll sometimes with new material. But that wasn't very common and plus he now had some new toys for his companions and himself. So he called the two of them over and told them that he would be giving both some new things to hunt and defend themselves with.
First he gave the crossbow to Anton as he was the weakest of them and the sword as well for back up. Combined with his crude stone knife the kid was pretty decked out. For the father he decided he would give him the bow and arrow as well as the spear.
This made it to were both his companions were armed and ready for a fight if they had to. It also gave him piece of mind knowing he wouldn't lose his companions easily. Through all this his companions were wondering just how he made these. They were better than any bows or crossbows they had ever seen.
Though the stone spear was definitely better than anyone than they had ever used but it was still piss poor compared to any metal weapon but it would do. Through the rest of the day they would start training with each other on trees to get at least a little practise. Overall all by the end of the day they had all gained two level in blade mastery. Respectively though Anton had also gained six levels in crossbow mastery, 3 levels of archery, and one level in spear handling. For victor he had gained 3 level in Archery, 2 level in crossbow mastery, and 4 levels of spear handling.
As for Protagonist-kun he gained 3 levels of Archery, 3 levels of crossbow mastery, and 4 levels in spear handling.
