Chapter 158: Insecurities

"Sayang!" Kai gasped in worry, while quickly wiping her eyes gently. He went down on his knees again and took her hands in his, looking up at her.

Lianne started sobbing then and couldn't speak, so Kai wrapped her up gently in his arms and hugged her tightly to him. He wished he could take the blanket and wrap her with it but he couldn't reach it and right now, what was more important, was to hold his wife.

He wrapped her hands around his waist and continued crying, sobbing hard at first, and soon, it became soft. All the while, Kai rubbed her back and held her head to him, not saying a thing but simply holding her.

Kai's heart was very unsettled at this point.

Things had been going great and she had even handled Scarlett with finesse. 

After Lianne had fallen asleep, Kai had gone out for a while to check up on what had happened to Scarlett.
