Chapter 14: Asta William
Asta: What are you talking? Are you mad Emma? Sheldon loves me a lot. He would not do that? He would not do anything which would hurt me.
I shouted at her like anything.
Emma: Oh. Love?? If you would not believe me, ask your parents. If you wouldn't believe them too, ask Sheldon directly.
Tears started rolling down from my eyes. I started crying and I started feeling like someone strangled my neck and I was choking. I was trying hard to make a sentence and speak.
Asta: No it's not true. It's not at all true. I know he would not do that. I know he would not hurt me.
Emma: It is totally waste to talk to a fool like you.
Asta: If he tried to kill me, he would be behind bars right? Not here.
Emma: You know his dad and his influence. More over you forgot everything and you were not in a position to file a complaint against him. No one knows what had happened. That is the reason why he is here and again he is fooling around with you.
I didn't say anything. I left Grace's home immediately and went to my home. I called my parents and asked them what had happened. And asked about my accident. Initially my parents were hesitant to talk about it. But Because of me finally they gave in and spoke.
My mom started telling me what had happened after we came to Bangalore.
When we came to Bangalore, you joined in a PUC (Pre University courses) college where Emma and Sheldon were studied. you three people became close friends. Emma's family and we were staying in the same society and opposite portions. Sheldon used to come to Emma's home and he started coming to our home also. Sheldon and Emma used to come to our home frequently for group studies and sometimes just to enjoy your weekends together. Before that you never invited your friends home. So I was really happy and I thought you would started to hangout with friends like how other people would do.
Everything was okay till you finished your PUC. We thought you and Sheldon were just friends like Emma and Sheldon. We didn't know that you both were in a relationship. After you finished your Schooling, your dad was the happiest father in the world I could say. He wanted to get an application from best colleges. So your dad and I were busy doing it and we thought you were with your friends all the time.
One day suddenly I got a call from our society member, telling you have fallen from you balcony. When we rushed back to our apartment, they have taken you to the hospital. We didn't know what happened to you. We rushed to the hospital where you have been admitted.
When the police started their investigation, we got to know that only Sheldon came to our apartment to meet you. The visitors register had only Sheldon's name. I really had no idea why Sheldon would do that.
We asked Emma about this and she said you and Sheldon started loving each other from the beginning of your PUC. Last few months before your accident, your relationship was not in a good terms. You both used to fight over silly things and then it led you to decide for breakup. But Sheldon was not ready to break up with you. That was all Emma knew.
It was clear that he was the one who can do that and yeah he was the one who came that day to meet you.
When you were in hospital we filed a complaint against Sheldon. But his father used his influence and political connections to get rid of that case and they sent him to UK. More over, you didn't remember anything. If you could have remembered about that accident, we could have filed a complaint again. But it did not happen.
After that, we shifted from that apartment and we never seen him again. When he came home to drop you, I really scared. But I didn't want you to remember anything. He came and spoke with me casually like nothing happened. I was boiling in a rage. But I acted normally to avoid your suspicious. That's why when Emma came home, I called her asked her to take care of you. Asked her to make to stay away from him.
