Chapter 1: The girl without Suga in her coffee

Yoongi Oppa,

I met you two years ago when you were in Europe. You had a concert in Berlin and you had just arrived in the country.

You were at a café and I noticed you liked your coffee dark with exactly two packets of sugar and a drop of milk. I like mine without sugar.

Little did I know I needed your Suga in my life.

Your hair was mint green, the ice-cream flavor I now imagine you to be. And you were wearing an oversized black hoodie. I thought it was cute.

There was "wealthy housewife" written in big bold letters on it. That made the hoodie even cuter.

I now wear one that's exactly the same 24/7. In fact I bought three of the exact same ones so I would always have a spare in case I need to to wash the other two.

I mean, laundry must be done.

~back to my story~

I was sitting a couple of tables away from you and watched you scribbling something on a piece of paper.

Now I look back and assume it was some awesome tongue technology you were composing.

I like to think you noticed me first, but who're we kidding? I was staring at you much too intensely, you were bound to look up.

You saw me still staring at your beauty. I think you got shy and looked away. But you still had that classic blank expression on your face. Underneath those tsundere, aloof eyes, I could feel our connection.

Your table was next to the barista's counter so I walked up and ordered myself another black coffee. This time I put in two packets of sugar like you as well.

The coffee was disgusting but it got you to flash the most gob-smackingly adorable gummy smile at me.

Suddenly I discovered that Suga was sweet. The coffee tasted delicious.

I smiled back at you. Coincidentally you decided you needed another coffee too and walked up to the counter next to me.

You looked tired close-up. I guess world tours are stressful. But your mint green hair was so soft, my hand involuntarily reached up to stroke it.

Still you just stood there and let me stroke your soft head. I was surprised you didn't get totally creeped out. Suddenly you looked really sleepy, like you wanted to curl up.

The barista looked at us like we were crazy— with our coffees just lying front of us at the counter and you and your sleepy, blank expression (the one you had when Jin hyung tried to read your mind about being a rock in your next life).

Sometimes, Oppa, it confuses me how you can be such a badass, swaggery, hardcore rapper, but at the same time such a sweet, soft bunny.

I didn't want to stop stroking your sleepy head at the café counter but other people started populating the place and you had to put your mask back on and rush out.

I only ever saw you on stage or on YouTube after that.

I'm too poor to get VIP tickets, but I'll always support you and your kind heart from afar, Oppa.

Please accept my love confession.

Saranghaeyo.
