Chapter 18: Battle Scars
"Well, I'm a guy! You should be cautious with me!"
Tony hit the break so hard as he angrily replied to Rin Chan that both their bodies jerk forward to the dashboard.
He looked at Rin Chan to see if she's alright and that when he notice that she's feeling anxious.
It was the first time aside from her drunken episode last night that he had seen her looking so feeble and weak, a total contrast to the high and mighty goddess that he and his squad always glorifies.
He didn't know that Rin Chan also had a side like this.
Rin Chan was clutching onto her left hip, as if hiding something from him.
That's when he realize that Rin Chan was feeling insecure, he saw it last night. Her huge scar around her lower torso.
It's a stab wound she got while she's on a mission a way back.
Not only that, other parts of her body were also covered with different length of stitches she also had a gun shot wound around her right leg.
'Your battle scars is what makes you more beautiful than any other girls.'
Is what Tony wanted to say. He wanted to hug her and tell her how much he admire her but he stopped himself from doing so.
He looked down, then continued on driving towards their destination.
