Chapter 21: Gunslinger girl
"Let's make a bet again. If I win you'll grant me another wish, if you win then you can do whatever you want."
Tony proposed as they walked towards their booth. The people sitting at the bench heard them talking, they all looked at Rin Chan and had a collective thought.
'She ain't gonna win.'
"Another wish?!! Are tou insane?! As if you I'll let you decide everything!"
Rin Chan scoffed. Finally after almost an hour she had spoken her first word. Tony knew she had a competitive side and he use it as an advantage so she would talk again to him.
"Aiya, then what do you want then... "
Tony asked. Rin Chan was surprised, She let out a sigh and looked at Tony.
"If I win then you'll grant me a special request."
Rin Chan demanded. The truth is she haven't given much thought on her wager, she just suddenly blurted it out just to spite Tony.
"It's a deal."
Tony chuckled and led her into the booth.
"Ladies first."
He handed a hand gun to Rin Chan. It was a Sig Sauer p238 pistol. A small and compact but powerful firearm.
The crowd look at Tony's booth. And they all snickered. They've heard their conversation, they thought that the girl was naive enough to challenge Tony.
Rin Chan felt the gun in her hands. Its been so long since she last hold a gun. For a year, she was only holding trays and cups in the tea shop.
The metal felt cold, her hands ran down the grip, she felt the rugged creases of the muzzle.
She deeply inhaled, she got excited by the smell of the gun powder around her.
Tony could see her smiling face as she aims at the target. He too can't help but smile, he knows that she missed being in action.
It's in their nature, people like them who knows the thrill of firing guns won't be able to resist once they had the control and the power guns have.
Rin Chan pulled the trigger, she moved so swiftly and precise that everyone gasp as she hit the bulls eye one by one.
After a few seconds, she put down the gun, smoke coming out of the center of the targets.
"Not bad."
Tony smirked and walked in to the booth. This time, everyone's attention was locked in Tony.
They didn't expect that Rin Chan, a woman who looks frail and harmless can have such an accurate and precise gun skills on par with him.
