Chapter 30: Ally of Justice
"Geez, they were sold out on here too."
Lena was grumbling in front of a market stall. She was currently shopping for cooking ingredients she intended to use on dinner. The female knight was very strict regarding meal consumption. Whether it was the balance of nutritions or the expenditure of money for eating outside, it was all calculated throughly. That's why she preferred to cook by herself since that way she could kept the balance of nutritions and also saving more money.
The current her did not wear her usual knight armor. Rather she wore a light blue blouse and red miniskirt along with black stockings. She still kept her sword strapped on her side though. Walking around without weapons was mere foolishness and failure as a knight.
The stall in front of her was already the third one she passed by today, and yet she couldn't find any sugar or potatoes she needed. She could try buying from the supermarket, which almost guaranteed to be in stock but being the cheap person she was there's no way she'll do that.
She came to the capital along with her superior Selianna but she didn't live along with her and rather rent a room inside the inn for herself. The reason being was because Haruto's gang was currently living there. She didn't mind if it was an all group of girls but staying in the same roof with a boy made her feel awkward.
Even now she still hadn't broken up with Jake. Not because she loved him but because her conscience feel uncomfortable to break up with people so easily. No, not that easy considering his recent antics but still.... somehow she just felt wrong, it was as if she was admitting that she did not think things throughly back when Jake confessed to her. It's not wrong though since she's really not thinking much and went with the flow even though she didn't really love him as a man.
Sighing remembering her lover currently staying at Latia, he was stripped of his status as a knight and forced to become ordinary guards. Considering what he had just done it was still quite lenient that he didn't lose his life. This was thanks to Haruto's request of altering his involvement from the case to a mere helper.
Thanks to this, the report of his participation did not reach the ear of the Emperor. The management committee on Latia's knight quarter dismissed that as unimportant. But Lena knew the real reason was because they were afraid of bringing shame by having an adventurer lending a hand on their mission. The guild also agreed with their request and kept his participation as a secret to the royalties and rewarded Haruto themselves. Selianna was extremely furious at this but remembering her promise she shut her mouth while biting her lip.
Shaking her head from her wandering thought Lena moved forward again to search for another stall.

"Thank god, I finally got them on the fifth stall~"
She couldn't hide her happiness for finally completing her objective. At 10% discount at that!
"Well then what should I do next? It was just a little past noon, it's too early to go back..."
She murmured quietly. She was currently alone and her other colleagues were definitely drinking at the bar by now even though it's still bright outside, enjoying their 'holidays' by accompanying Selianna while she was in capital.
'Hmm maybe I just visit some flower shops, I don't intend to buy any since I'm away from my house but looking around various plants sounds fun.'
So she thought and made her way to the nearby flower shop.
After moving straight for awhile she turned right, entering nearby alley for a shortcut. The environment was quite dirty since this place was located at the corner of the city. The reason she went shopping around this area was exactly because the items here would be cheaper.
Not many people were wandering around the alley and she was already in a desolate place. But like she cared about that.
"Kyaaa!"
"Huh?"
Suddenly she heard a scream from nearby. She stopped her feet and turned her body to the direction of the voice, leading deeper to the back alley. Without thinking much she dashed there while gripping her sword's sheath.
"!"
A young girl was grabbed on her wrists by a bulky man behind her surrounded by 5 similar men.
"Hehehe just look at this chick, what a babe! Walking around alone in this place, she must be asking to be caught!"
"Nooo! Please release me!"
"Kekekeke! Don't be that shy, if you don't resist we promised you a very good time on our beds! Hihaahahahah!"
They were laughing like a madman. Lena peeking from behind a wall frowned from the sight while inwardly sighing in exasperation. These kind of guys were everywhere around and creeping out like ants.
"That's enough."
She decided to take care of it quickly. She knew these ruffians were not a big deal otherwise they wouldn't bother acting like a rat in this kind of alley.
"Huh? The hell are you!?"
The thugs noticed her and became alerted. But when they realized the person was another girl even more beautiful than their current prey their face turned delighted.
"Ckckck look what we have here~"
"Another pretty chick! It seems today is our lucky day huh!"
"Fuhehehe just look at her body it looks so delicious I couldn't stop drooling. I want to quickly fuck her hard until she's broken yeah!"
Gazes full of lusts and greed surrounded Lena. Her face was distorted from disgust.
"Is that all you wanted to say? If not then I shall make the first move!"
She dashed forward in an instant while gripping her sword's hilt. With light steps she approach the nearby target. The thug revealed a shocked face and tried to retreat but before he could Lena already drew her sword and cut his body in two.
"W-What the hell!?"
The other guys were astonished too seeing one of them being splitted horizontally and died just like that. They were unfortunate because Lena currently did not wearing her knight outfit that's why they couldn't recognize her as a knight or they would already run with their tails between their legs.
Not giving them chance to react Lena already made her way to the next target and swung her sword diagonally from top right.
Blood splurted out from his torso and 2 of the six enemies already dead within tens of seconds. Just as she tried to keep going like this...
"D-Don't move!! Or we cut this woman's neck!!"
One of them placed a knife on the captured girl's neck while the girl was trembling heavily and her eyes were teary. Lena stopped on her track while cursing herself for not being fast enough on reaching her target of rescue. Launching energy attacks would be risky in a place like this and she was afraid of hitting the girl accidentally. She gritted her teeth and glared at the ruffians.
"H-Hehehe that's right, if you're obedient nothing will happened to her."
"You lowlives...."
"Hahaha! As punishment, first thing first why don't you dropped your weapon? Remember, if you don't obey us...."
They grinned viciously and looked down on Lena. Biting her lip she released her hand from her sword and it fell to the ground.
Seeing that the men's eyes turned glee and they licked their lips, not hiding their malicious thought. They eyed her chest and slender waist, feeling impatient to taste them.
"Good, now you should-GBUH!?"
Before he finished talking, his head was kicked from behind, launching his body to the far end wall, crashing loudly. The hostage was released from his grasp and fell but a hand caught her body.
"W-What!? Another person!?"
The other guys were speechless from the intrusion of yet another person. A black and orange clothed boy wearing a strange kamen rider-like mask from who knows where was standing proudly.
"Hey!? Who the fuck are you!?"
The boy went 'Fuh' and swiped his hair dramatically as if he was waiting for the question. Lena's mouth was twitching looking at the masked man.
"I'm the ally of justice. Protector of the innocent and the bane of all evil."
Completing his introduction with a strange pose like a certain group of 5 people from galaxy evil emperor's army, he shouted,
"GREAT SAIYAMAN!!"
