Chapter 3: Choosing a dress
After she gave Gustav's lunch to him, she went to the mall to buy a new gown. In the next few days, their school would conduct a Valentine's Party and she needs to be in her best look. She headed to a luxury store that sells the best type of clothes any girl could wish for to look for a gown that would grab her beloved's attention. The saleslady noticed her and began following her to recommend some clothes that would best fit her.
"Miss this pink dress from our latest series would sure look good on you. It will highlight your fair skin and pleasing face. This is a limited edition and I'm sure no one will look as good as you when they wear this."
She looked at the pink dress that would surely attract the attention of young girls like her. But looking younger is not her goal, her Gustav said he likes mature ladies.
Almira thought for a moment and said. "Hm. You think so? But I will surely look younger if I wear that. He prefers mature-looking ladies, so I must wear a dress that will make me look more mature. Do you have any suggestions?"
'Yes, I might buy that dress if this was three years ago, but now…' Her mind stopped wandering when she heard the saleslady speak to her again.
"Yes, miss. We have countless dresses that would make you look mature and elegant. Please take your time deciding what you want."
The saleslady brought her to the last row of clothes and began showing her some dresses. From backless to the low chest, she has shown her everything. But the young lady still liked nothing a bit. The saleslady suddenly remembered the most exclusive dress that the store currently has, so she suggested it to her.
'This young lady looks like from a noble family. The dress she is currently wearing is from the famous designer 'Ella', I'm sure she could afford this gown. Besides, only those from noble or powerful families deserve this dress,' thought the saleslady.
"Little miss, we currently have the latest gown designed by 'Ella' and she produced only one piece of this. We are very honored to have this, and I think it will also be an honor if you will be the one to get this." The saleslady said this with a beaming smile because looking again at the young lady, she really seems to be from an influential family and has the best looks. She has a small face with cherry red lips and rosy cheeks, butterfly eyelashes, proud eyebrows and a high nose. She also looks taller for her age, standing at 5'7" and even has the curves that only older women would have.
Almira is very proud of her body, 'I might have a beautiful face that looks harmless, but I have a killer body. Big Brother, I'm sure you are just holding your love back from me. But I'll make you lose your defense soon,' that is what Almira always thought.
"Really? Can you show it to me?"
"Of course, miss"
The saleslady led her to a room where the said dress is in. Almira immediately became flabbergasted by its beauty. The dress is royal blue and has a gradient look. It seems sparkling under the yellow lights, and that was when she noticed several gems were sewn on it. It has a high neck and a thin belt at the waist and has the impression of an ocean. A little slit could be seen at the side and it is enough to show some skin but not flash everyone. Almira went behind and saw that the back has a see-through net that would surely emphasize her milky skin. 'Just enough to emphasize my beauty but still increase my maturity.' She immediately decided to get the dress.
"This gown, I love it! Pack this up because this will be the one I'll wear for our party. I hope he will like it," She whispered the last part but the saleslady still heard it.
"Worry not, little missy! I'm sure no one can resist you if they saw you in this dress!"
"Well, I wish it will go the same way you said"
"If that's all then may I ask if you would like to pay now or you'll admire the dress for more?"
"Hm, no need, I'll pay now. Here's my card. How much is it again?"
"Miss it's 400,000, but it's worth the price." Well, it is really expensive, especially for a student like her. The saleslady noticed her hesitating and wondered if she'll still get it. Almira was troubled because her parents are very strict with her financially. Compared to other rich daughters, her parents gave her less money with a reason that she is not trustable in money matters.
'Dad will reprimand me again if he found out about this. But I think it will be okay because I'll get a nice dress for it. I'll just think of it after I arrive at home,'. She noticed the saleslady looking at her weirdly so she asked her.
"Are there any problems?"
"None! I'm sorry I will get this dress packed up immediately. Please wait for a while."
After waiting for like five minutes, she is finally holding the perfect dress for the party. She thought for a moment, then asked the saleslady to deliver it to her home. She gave the address and lingered for a few moments in the store, before mustering up her courage. She cheered herself in her mind, 'I will surely get a long scolding, cheer up Almira, just use your super adorable face and the worse you can get punished is not having to eat pastries for a week. You'll live with it.' With that, she went home ready to face her next challenge, her parents.
