Chapter 3: Chapter 3: The Cute Little One
The elegant yet dangerous-looking man looked at Yu-Long with a far longing, loving way that made Yu-Long experience a slight feeling of shyness, yet unknowingly he too stared at that man who had his face carved personally by an expert artist. But to that man, Yu-Long's staring was so adorable that he pulled Yu-Long closer to himself and whispered in his ear's, "I swear to the Drown Gods and the God of Death that no matter what happens I shall always protect you till the time we are underneath on this Mortal World."
This action of the middle-aged man gave Yu-Long a start as he recalled the last few words spoken by him. ' On this Mortal World? Is he implying that there is something beyond this plane? Or does he simply mean to say that till the time he is there in this world, he shall stay by my side and protect me from all dangers that I may come to face?'
While he was analyzing the words spoken to find its deeper meaning, he made his thinking face, which was way too adorable for the handsome man holding him to not notice it. He moved closer and gave a brief peck on his soft little cheeks. This made Yu-Long get a very comfortable, warm, fuzzy feeling. He could see a genuine smile on the newborn's small, cute little face.
This expression was too adorable for the people in the room to ignore. The man looked at the woman lying on the bed, carried Yu-Long towards her. He gave a sweet, loving look towards his newborn baby girl and put her in the arms of her mother.
***Hehehe I know, you guys must be thinking, look a grammatical error, well it's not ** smirks ***.
"Look, darling, our baby girl is finally out in this world. Isn't she adorably cute? " the lady told to the man beside her.
"Yes, honey." The man replied with a loving expression to his wife. "She is your daughter, she's got our dashing looks."
"All right, I know how exhausted you are just by looking at you. How about you don't push yourself too much, get excited and just lie down comfortably and get some sound sleep?"
"But darling.. our little one was just born, I want to spend some more time with her and not miss anything that she will do from this day forward. How about you give me leeway on this matter, my handsome hunk?", she told while leaning into his ears and added a little husky tone which could make all the men go weak in the knees.
The doctors and medical staff were still in the room stared at the two with shocked expressions while some weak-willed male and female staff turned and started having a bit of a coughing fit and while a few went red from the neck region and above.
The coughing fit brought the couple back to reality. The man turned towards the people having a coughing fit and gave his deadly gaze which would scare off even the most strong-willed man would get the chills from.
This reaction of his made the lady giggle with happiness. He then turned to his wife, "No honey, get some sleep or you will put your health in jeopardy and that would not be good for any of us."
The lady despite being exhausted made a face that one couldn't help but make sure she got whatever she desired, no matter the consequences. The world-renowned puppy eyes and adorable face.
Despite knowing of the methods his wife would use, he couldn't help but yield a little, "Ahh fine then for the sake of the two of you and your health, I can only compromise and let you both stay in the same bed till the time either of you falls asleep as it would not be good for our newborn daughter to be in the same bed as anyone else because of multiple medical reasons. Not to worry much, as I had already asked the doctor on this matter."
After finishing the arrangements and checking up on the medical condition of the mother-daughter pair, the doctors and staff left the room to give the family their long required personal space.
Meanwhile, on Yu-Long's mind the entire time, he started facing a dilemma from the point when the lady spoke about a cute, adorable baby girl while she held and looked at him as if he was the most precious little jewel that shined bright with cuteness level that surpassed the heavens and could one day even topple them over.
To confirm his situation, he observed the lady's bright blue eyes that looked as clear as the sky; he saw his own reflection in her eyes where he had a round chubby face, with a dimple on each cheek, slight blonde hair which appeared to be sparkling in the eyes of the viewer, draped in warm clothing which had just been put on.
'Holy smokes!!! That little baby girl is me!! Damn it if I knew that after the Soul Traversing technique it had put me into this vessel, I would have learnt more on that technique or at least see if I could pick my vessel.'
After pondering for a few seconds on this matter, he put it aside and began thinking of his next course of action.
'Well, I can change my gender if I'm lucky enough to common across the legendary Gender Swap Technique.' His face showed a lonely and sad expression when as he thought ' If the only teacher was still alive I could have gone to her regarding this issue but those brutes known as elders across the continent killed her with the help of the heir to God of Tyranny - Melissa and God of Greed - Bañe who had the power to surpass even a celestial teacher like Lou Shi single-handedly, just cause of their blessings and enchantments.
Seeing the disheartened look on her cute little daughter's face, the elegant lady and dangerously handsome man got worried and started consoling Yu-Long.
Before long a nurse in white called out to the man named Wang Lei and Cui Xiu his wife to give a name to their newborn infant.
Both of them turned to look at their daughter and turned to look at each other, and it was as if a spark had just been lit up. They replied in unison and with an enormous smile on their face, expectations from their daughter far beyond one could think a cute little one like her could do at this point or in the near future, "Our daughter's name shall be Lei Cui."
