Chapter 1: The set-up: SkittleRayne has to enter the tournament
Moonton shocked the gaming community to its core with the release of the VR mode for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, along with a new character mage-support named "Faramis". Gamers were now able to step inside the bodies of the characters and play matches. elite players from around the world were invited to play in conquest battles to represent their countries in the game. American teams had to pass a qualifying match to compete. The gamer known only as SkittleRayne was invited but many thought due to the player's eccentric and secretive nature they would not come.
Staring at the screen Sharon's face was a blank mask her brown skin had a pale green hue in the computer's backlight. She sat there frozen with fear she had accepted the invitation to the competition however she was uncertain how she was going to play and keep her identity a secret. She wasn't a simple gamer her identity as a leading lawyer and politician kept her from being known as SkittleRayne in public. her job and social standing could be affected but she could not keep herself out of the competition due to her standing in the hacker and gaming community. Standing up from her desk she walked over to her office window overlooking the New York cityscape her sleek navy blue pantsuit and designer shoes fit the mold of corporate America. She had fought long and hard to gain entrance to this world just because of her status as an African American woman; her notoriety on the battlefield in the game world was forged in just as much blood, sweat, and tears.
Sharon called her personal assistant into her office, the young assistant entered into the office walking past her glass tables and modern art deco furniture to stand in front of the large ornate wooden desk. "You called Mrs. Kelley?" Sharon turns away from the window to face the woman, "I want you to clear my schedule for the next few weeks, I am taking some time off, you will accompany me during this time." The assistant nodded in acknowledgment and began to type on her blackberry phone. A plan of action was forming inside of Sharon's head; she would need security and a good disguise.
Tyrell Kelley had spent years of his prime serving in the military, his thick muscled shoulders and broad chest muscles always seemed to make all of his clothing fit tight and make him look intimidating while only standing 5'9".His life in outside of the Army seems lackluster compared to his service but the wonderful brotherhood he forged preserved on though now his wife was now the breadwinner, he spent his days as a security consultant for celebrities and anyone in need of a few bored veterans with a special set of skills. They were sometimes contracted by governments to settle things only they could handle.
Tyrell didn't like sending his teams on those jobs unless the cause was worthy or the money irresistible. The emergence of the gaming competition and his wife's acceptance posed an interesting turn of events for him. He now had to figure out who on his team could be trusted with protecting his wife while he went undercover to seek out potential hidden threats. He needed young looking security but have them be ruthless and battle-hardened. he needed his 'Rogue Knights', he punched in a few commands on his smartwatch and headed towards the command center of his office. Tyrell didn't like to leave anything to chance his computers were all on an intra-network with the highest level of security, he personally employed the best hackers and helped financed their security project, their intra-network was more secure than the American government. The hub of computers is located in the center of the building's basement level surrounded by enough electromagnetic pulse shielding and nuclear fallout protections. The hub was meant to continue on even if the outside world did not.
