Chapter 6: Forgotten Child
The Human Soldier spoke fluently and without any problems, but when he comes to the fifth Prince, Alexander, he stopped speaking.
"Why did you stop speaking? Which crime did the fifth Prince, Alexander, commit?"
As the Soldier didn't speak for a while, the surrounding started murmuring. A sign of guilt was displayed by the previously hostile Soldiers. They all looked with their head down at their feet.
"What is the commotion here?"
Francisco was slowly trotting over. His tired eyes has dark ring around it, his hair was dishevelled and his clothes were a mess. It seems like he has just awoken and immediately rushed over.
The eyes of the Soldier, who has just spoken, lit up at the sight of the leader.
"Leader, we have here a Demon Prince."
"I know."
"What?!"
"We are in an Alliance."
"But aren't our goal to over throw the Demon King?"
"Yeah, the Demon King and not to kill the Demon Prince."
After he has spoken with the insignificant Soldier, he turned to Alexander with a bright smile.
"Come with me. I have a present for you in my room."
He grabbed Alexander hand and walked away, while pulling Alexander with him. At the sight of this, a new idea surfaced in the heads of Soldiers. In hours the idea was instilled in all the peoples head and without an end to see, the idea become even absurder with each whispering between people.
In the leaders room sat the leader relaxed on his bed, while Alexander are standing escape ready beside the door with a red flushed face.
"Don't be nervous. It will be fast."
"Yes."
Alexander swallowed a mouthful of saliva and tried to calm down his beating heart.
"Please, sit."
"No! I like to stand!"
"If you like it."
The leader stood up. He walked forward and stripped his armour. Luckily he stopped there. He pulled from his stripped armour a bottle of pills.
"This are "Mana Pills". They can replenish and pull up your maximum Mana capacity."
With a swift throw and that bottle of Mana Pills are caught by my hand.
"Thank you!"
"If you aren't strong, how could you be the next Demon King?"
"Regardless of that, I want to thank you."
"Go, go, go! Train hard, so that one day you aren't weak anymore!"
"Yeah, I will!"
Back in his own house again, he was sitting on the bed. In his hand lay a pill. After taking a deep breath, he consumed the pill. The pill was cool and soothing. Suddenly the Pill exploded and the Mana inside rushed out. Without hesitation the Mana started to rampage and destroy everything in its way. Uncontrollable Alexander puked a mouthful blood on the floor. In the blood was a bit red light, before it was taken over by a light white steam like light. It dispersed to the surrounding.
"That white light is the Mana, but what is that red light?"
He frowned and spoke with himself. After a thinking over it a bit, he started mediating.
In the depth of his consciousness was blurry and covered by a red mist. Somewhere in the mists was a blurry image of himself.
"Strange. Shouldn't the Mana be white?"
After observing the Mana and himself, he sighed.
"This soul is weakened and damaged."
He raised his hand and tried to manipulate that red Mana. It moved, even tough it was sluggish and rough.
"This Mana seems different from the white Mana. It is aggressive and greedy, while the white Mana is prideful and condescending."
He moved a bit of red Mana to wrap around him, like a cocoon, and tried to use this Mana to mend his soul. It was a slow and arduous process, but after hours the surrounding become a bit clearer.
As he exited his consciousness, an unexpected message emerged within his view.
[Welcome back, Master!]
"Status"
[Status Window]
[Name: Alexander Vasilias]
[Mana: ?]
[Gifts]
[Skills: Light, Ice Storm, Sword Energy, Appraisal, …]
[Blessings: None]
[Users]
[Amount: 0]

It is a Status Window! There was no doubt about it, but it was different from the one he has in memory. Firstly, in this Status Window, there was no Level. Secondly, the Status Window in his memory was just one whole part and not parted into three. The Name, Level, Mana, Skills and Blessings created the Status Window of his memory. Thirdly, there was nothing like the Users part in the Status Window in his memory.
The door creaked. It broke his chain of thoughts.
"I hope I don't disturb You."
It was the little dwarf, the vice leader.
"No, you didn't. Why did you come over?"
"Don't you wonder where your Kid is?"
"My Kid?"
"You really have forgotten Your own Child?!"
With a disbelieving face he waved someone in. It was a Human woman. While she is stepping in, she was feeding a baby in her arm.
"Do you remember now?"
"Ah! Yeah. I must really thanking you both for taking care of my Child."
Alexander immediately stood up and deeply bowed to them.
"Hahaha, You don't need to thank me. This girl has done it all."
"Hello. I am Catherine."
"Hello, nic…"
"You don't need to introduce yourself. I already know who you are."
Her tone was cold and a bit despising.
"Catherine, don't be this cold. Alexander definitely didn't have done it on purpose."
"Helmut, do you know what? If he hasn't done it on purpose, it will be even worse!"
"Have you never ever forgotten something?"
"Yeah, who wouldn't! But he has forgotten a Child! His Child!"
To this response Helmut ceased to say something in defense of Alexander. At this moment Alexander knelt down before Catherine.
"I am very sorry about that. I would be very grateful if you forgive me and show me the right way to raise my Child!"
Seeing this, the expression of Catherine softened and her tone become more gentle.
"If you hold on this sincerity, I will have no problem teaching you. Collect your belongings and follow me to my house."
