The empty vent howled with the night winds, they whistled and whispered a repetitive tune.
The grandfather clock showed off its gears as it ticked trough the night adding to the dragging yet glorious tune. I look up to the celling looking for an awnser or a whisper of it, a smile crept across my face. I confronted the monster on the counter, I screamed and yelled for him to fetch my meal with no excuse or abuse would be of use. An hour parted my sight, so I went hungry yet another night. I ran trough my dark woods as the smell of rotting filled me in. I approached the monster looking into his dark red eyes. His flesh bubbled and popped as I came closer. I dragged my nail from his scalp down to his back. Strange blood poured out as I split him in half, he brought me nothing so I brought him a fright instead of being friendly I bid him a permanent good night. All the other monsters but me, would be able to feast tonight. I deserved higher quality, not someone who serve a fright. I hope he is happy for now we bid him well, delicious meal for his "freinds", no longer.
