Chapter 4: Beginning of the road to Godhood
"Celeste? You alright there" Alex asks as he squeezes her hand hoping for a response.
"Mhmm...." Celeste replies without taking her eyes from the spot the old man left.
"Ooo-kay I am going to go back outside now. Let me know when you are ready to function again alright?" Alex says as he gives her an awkward comforting hug. All he got from Celeste was a nod of affirmation.
Alex proceeded to close his eyes and was whisked back to consciousness.
As Alex opening his eyes once again, he was met face to face with his mother, looking at him worriedly with a tinge of curiosity.
"H-Hi Mum" Alex replies startled.
"What were you doing? You have been sitting there for hours and didn't respond when I called you several times. You made me so worriedddd!" His mother replies embracing him in a tight hug.
Hearing this Alex can't help but smile. His mother loved him very much and even being a 22 year old before he reincarnated here, motherly love will never get old. Unless it is when his friends are around then motherly love gets old real fast.
"I'm alright mum. I was just observing my spirits and getting use to my cultivation level. What did you want me for?" Alex asked sweetly.
"I was just calling you for lunch but that was two hours ago. It doesn't matter anymore." Ya Li replied.
"Lunch? I could do with some lunch. I'm starving!" Alex practically blurted out, starving ever since his awakening his bloodline essences.
"Ok come down in a couple of minutes and I will have food ready for you."
"Make it a lot more than usual please" Alex responds, scratching the bridge of his nose in embarrassment.
"Ok sweetie." His mother replies.
As his mother walked away Alex began thinking. 'Do I tell her about my bloodlines? Do I mention my trident? I know for a fact I shouldn't mention my shop ability as that definitely can't be explained without telling about my reincarnation. Well first things first...Sh—'
"Ahhh" Alex can't help but exclaim as a short and sharp pain hits his brain. Once the pain resides as quickly as it came Alex was able to find the cultivation technique just floating within his memories.
'Hmm, this is very different than I expected.'
It causes a mutation in the body where the meridians merge with the user's muscles. Then I flow my spirit energy from my spiritual sea through my chest, it then parts to flow through each arm then down each side of my body to my legs and finally flows back through my inside of my legs to my centre where it combines with my spiritual sea once again. The merger will cause a slight discomfort and may take up to one hour long so I should perform it just before bed.
Alex concluded before hopping off his bed and walking down to the kitchen.
'Wouldn't want her worrying again now would I' He can't help but smirk to himself.

Ya Li was in shock. She had just served her son several plates of food where he would usually only have one and he was still eating. They had no problem with money as both her and her husband were strong cultivators and excelled in their professions, but there was going to be no food left in the house by the looks of it.
"I am going to hop out for a bit for some more food for tonight alright sweetie. Don't leave the house till I get back please." Ya Li says.
"Ok mum I will finish up here then go back to my room." Alex replies after taking a big gulp of food.
As Alex sees his mother leave the house, he decided to check out his shop.

Before I even purchase those however, I will need to find someone to teach me how to become a Blacksmith.'

'I am really starting to regret not asking for an information ability however at least from the looks of it I will be able to roughly guess the type of ability an artificial spirit bone will give me. As soon as Alex said the words and looked at the prices of spirit rings, he was shocked.
'Why does it cost so much? At the spirit pagoda it only costs 1 million coins for a hundred year spirit soul. I guess the common beasts are cheaper but the rare's are nearly $700,000 more than that and don't even get me started on the mythical beasts. God damn, five times the normal price for a mythical beast. I wonder what the skills they give are?' Alex comments as he strokes his chin.
'However, it doesn't seem to have a function to buy different aged ones. Maybe it will age as my cultivation improves? Won't be the end of the world if it doesn't as I can still upgrade them through the spirit pagoda. Let's think more about it after I clean up my lunch and prepare to have a chat with my parents tonight.' Alex finally says, brushing his hands on his pants and cleaning up his plates.
